Two more days and this thread will be in the realm of acceptability.
Well, now this thread is in the realm of acceptability, but I must admit that after having focused on Thanksgiving for so long I'm a bit loathe to give it up. I might need a few more days to get into the Christmas spirit. Maybe listening to the Beatles Crimble records will help

Heh, now y'all have no excuses
Tall, dark-haired QuarryMan likes basketball, music, and naturally, boys. He was a valuable participant on the track team. He is one of Freeport's great contributors to the recording world. As for the immediate future, QuarryMan has no plans, but will take life as it comes.

Myself, I think the mince pies make you weird. Fecking horrible things. No wonder it's a recipe that only comes out once a year!!!!

I'm sorry... what??????
They're my favourite bit about Christmas! Granted there are some pretty awful mince pies out there, but the good ones are the best food on the Christmas table...
That's probably a good question actually.
Favourite food on the Christmas table?

Right now I can't remember what the Christmas table looks like or if it's different from the Thanksgiving one, sorry
..
hmmm
I guess stuffing. Or sweet potato casserole. Or green beans. My grandma makes killer baked beans though. Or... mmm food and that's not even onto the dessert course

But how high on your list of Chrimble treats are mince pies, @Beatlebug? A year round treat or a Chrimble sufferance?

My family's never been very good about celebrating Christmas, but every year we have a competition for who can see the most Christmas trees on top of cars between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Since they only count towards our score if we say "tree!" when we see them, it makes for some funny situations when we're in public. Unfortunately, a Christmas tree farm just opened up right near where my sister lives, so I think the rest of us are doomed.

I'm thinking of putting a decent sized real Christmas tree up this; the last couple I've had very small ones. Never had a fake and never will I.
Had Christmas music on at work on Sunday and heard Elton John's 'Step Into Christmas' four times in 4 hours so I'm done with all that.

Well, my family got a Christmas tree the other day. We spent the night decorating it and such; I added a few self made Beatles ornaments (pieces of paper I cut out, I’m lazy). Anyway, at about 1:00 in the morning the tree falls over, breaking half the ornaments with it. Eventually we cleaned it up, and since the tree can’t seem to stand by itself, it is now propped up against the wall, one side flattened from where it fell.
Next year, we’re getting a fake tree.
