Well, you’ve got Martha, Me, Elementary Penguin, SgtPeppersBulldog, and I’m sure I’ve forgotten someone else… (sorry to whoever I’ve forgotten!!)
But we lost Evangeline, and technically Dark Overlord. And trcanberra/HongKongLady, though they can come back whenever we need them… (and Mark Busby, depending on when he died… I wasn’t around for that)
So a net loss. But new members. It’s up to you to make your mind up if you got that one…

Online That walk that took me too long was mainly to see if I could find the Princess Diana Memorial Water Fountain. I never made it to the Fountain because I remembered that I wanted to go back to the Buckingham Palace gift shop.
Thankfully, just a few months later, I was back in London and RN and I got to go see the Fountain properly.

Offline Are we starting this thread again yet? I wasn’t here for the last one, and I would like to share four of my predictions in time for next year:
I will have bought Revolver (most likely on vinyl)
I will be on the Apple rooftop with my number of posts here.
I will go out on bike rides more often.
I will get fairly good GCSEs, and don’t have to resit maths or English.

How can you say we’re not any closer, though? If they do someday prove the existence of aliens or ghosts, or release Carnival Of Light from the vaults, then wouldn’t we be closer now than we were a year ago? You saying that we are not any closer is not a fact. You are making the assumption that none of those things will ever be known to us by saying we are not any closer… So basically you are just making another prediction…

So aliens did exist and probably do exist. Aliens shouldt be lumped in with ghost.

I used to send Americans to the unknown spots when I was working around a lot of them this summer. Told them it would make for good Facebook and Instagram posts, they seemed very pleased

I’m not sure you know what you mean.
How can you know that there have been no major developments? What if it’s the “aliens” who find us first? You wouldn’t say that there have been no advancements on every other planet in every other galaxy in this universe, would you? Because that’s neither a prediction nor a fact. That’s called making things up. This thread is about first predicting, and then saying what reality is.
But speaking of reality, I think it’s important to note that it is relative and can vary from person to person. Maybe you have never experienced the presence of a ghost or an alien, but that cannot be said of every other being on this planet. To many, ghosts have already been proven to exist. Maybe did you want to use “I statements”?
