It's 2:15am in our country and I spent the night Fab Forum-ing (is that a word?) I can't sleep... tomorrow is Easter (it already is) my family are going away and they said if I didn't wake up at 6am sharp they will go without me.
So please... I need help on either staying up until 6 or sleeping for 4 hours then waking up instantly.

I have a suggestion (even though it's a bit too late now): have a nice warm cup of tea. I like to do just that when I want to relax.![]()
A cup of tea, with a biscuit. That relaxes me!

To my fellow insomniacs, I recommend avoiding computers, phones, and any source of bright, bluish light for some time before bed. The scientific reasoning is that low light induces the production of melatonin, which regulates sleep patterns (I think). All I know is that dim, yellowish lights, especially candles, make me sleepy, and Forum-ing makes me wakeful.
I also often listen to quiet music. Silly Mum uses audiobooks (slightly boring ones, preferably).

For people who struggle to sleep- read, read, read, just keep reading until you literally cannot read anymore even if it is 3am you'll be out like a light. You're improving your reading and writing skills, and learning something new- what's not to love?

^^^ SG has a very good point there. I have an old lamp that creates a dim orange-y light that makes my room nice and cozy: perfect for winding down.
