I told you it was fine but people wanted the drums brighter, I EQ’d them brighter and I’m not surprised you hate it. The only way to EQ drums with full control is miking separate elements, I couldn’t do that. Boosting the top 10k also boosted a bunch of harmonics and the room reverb. Be careful what you wish for

If you want to do another Beatles song why not do Helter Skelter or similar, I wanna hear some crazy singing

I liked what you did with the drums, just pointing out what that leaves you with at a mixing stage. I enjoyed the challenge TBH, by the end there I had half a dozen bounced tracks together with various different mixdowns, it was crazy! Billions of

Monkey is a good track to do, particularly for our budding guitar heros and it means I don’t have to sing (much, I can do a bunch of crazy cmon’s). It will of course require tambourines AND cowbells!

Offline @The Hole Got Fixed if you do drums, try and record them really dry like the original, its a flat almost boxy sound, the snare’s very flat IIRC.

I did an actual one of these when I saw this (except with one-fourth as many persons)
I was in a bathroom with profuse mirrors and it looked really cool, especially with my tailcoat, but MOST IMPORTANTLY I was elated that it was finished!
And it sounds FABULOUS! Kudos to everyone who contributed, especially @ewe2 who had to muddle all our stuff together.

Offline No kazoo because I have the memory of a flea. There was a ukulele guide but that’s all it was meant to be. I actually re-recorded the bass after I got the drum track so I would match the swing of it. I bounced-down quite a few things to sit in the mix right, it’s all spread over a dozen remake.

Holy toots Batman! 
I literally forgot it was there. Had to hunt through half a dozen projects until I found the original, it all got lumped into a bounced-down mix. Honestly forgot I did it and couldn’t hear it until you said where it was.
Anyway, guitarists: looking forward to a nice fat smoking George guitar wobble and solo-lette from someone on Everybody’s Got Something To Hide Except For Me And My Monkey. The guide guitar shouldn’t quite be doing what it’s doing in the verses: in the first verse it still does the rising triads but in the remaining verses it just plays the chords as accents (E 2 3 Esus4 E) and then repeats the rising triads in the ‘come on is such a joy’ sections, I just didn’t listen hard enough when I did the guides and chicken-scratched my way through it.
