Because each country gets one representative. One person acting as the representative of the country, like the president represents the US on the world stage. Same applies here. No regionalism.

Offline Here’s a radically libertarian idea: how about if people like the idea of flags in their signatures they can include them, and if they don’t want to, they don’t have to, because everyone more or less puts whatever the heck they want in their signatures anyway? Just a thought… 
Like I said, I was gonna put a flag in my sig anyway because I just like it, and I felt it was worth squeezing in.

Though, I must say, I’m still quite surprised that so many people have nominated me for the position, as opposed to you. I’m quite honoured, yes, but I never thought I was quite prolific enough to hold such a title. You’ve been here much longer than I have, after all, and I feel like you’re a much more recognisable member of the forum than I am. But, if everyone here, including the other Canadians, wishes for me to have it, I can’t really object to it.
