I have nothing to hide! I just really like that visual distortion, especially since it kind of parallels the distorted sonics it’s accompanying.

…plus I like the way it makes my jazz beard look! :) (Not a hipster beard, thankyouverymuch)

Yes, it does compliment your hips- … jazz beard.

If I spoke prose you'd all find out, I don't know what I talk about.

P.S.:  Was that a cover of “Yesterday “…?

Haha OK, I found the tape and uploaded a really brief clip of it! It’s probably too far from “perfectionism” for Funny Paper.

Still more musical and in tune than Paul’s efforts on Only A Northern Song . Was that your influence?

I can play bass, although you’ve already found someone for that!

I can do the odd bit of lead guitar, and a few things on the keyboard (if I can get my hands on a MIDI keyboard I have a mellotron synth on my laptop…could do our own version of Strawberry Fields Forever !!) haha

We might need another bassist, especially if Faceo isn’t around. And the mellotron thing could be useful.

I don’t know if you guys read the “Beatles Tribute Band” section on Yesterday and Today but I want to join too. I am also a guitarist but my main contribution will probably be Ringo vocals (Good Night and Don’t Pass Me By ).

Wow, those trumpet parts certainly don’t sound as good as they did after George Martin gave them the full treatment of echo effects. (The man was a magician!)
No, my “influences” at the time were guys like Archie Shepp, Pharoah Sanders, Marshall Allen (except that those guys could actually PLAY.)

Close! It was my own Beatles medley entitled “Carnival Of Light In The Sky (No Diamonds Though)”

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

So it’s 8 to 1, anyone think we should start “auditions”? We need drummers, bassists, maybe an extra guitarist, singers will be important. Anyone interested should post a video with them playing.

I’m beginning to think this might work. I’ll put up an example audition video, but if someone wants to post one first that’d be great! This’ll also be to reassure you all I’m good enough to be in/lead the band (I hope)!

More like “Cambridge 1969” from “Unfinished Music #2: Life With The Lions

Hmm, maybe I’ll post an audition video. But maybe not. If I do, it’ll probably be tomorrow.

@Bulldog and @Starr Shine? Please post when you can!

@Necko, I already learned the solo a while ago, but if you want to you can send the audio to see which works better if we get this going.

Nah, go ahead.  I don’t know how to play the solo.  It’d be easier.
