Yes is a Progressive Rock band. i wonder if there are any fans of them on here. My Favorite album by Yes is probably The Yes Album (3rd Album) and my Favorite song is I’ve Seen All Good People. What are your favorite albums and songs by them?

I Think that Rolling Stone should do a cover story of The Rolling Stones covering "Like a Rolling Stone" or if a Type of Beetle was named after The Beatles.

I like some prog rock especially old Genesis.  I haven’t heard much by Yes but I’m fascinated by Jon Anderson’s great voice.  I like the songs he did with Vangelis. :-)

I’m only familiar with the singles from 90125, but I’ve loved those ever since they were released.

It might be obvious for you, mmm, but I have never in my life heard someone say they were a fan of this group. This forum is the only place I have ever seen or heard them be mentioned.

Neither have I, however, all bands have fans and since Yes are still active I presumed they have fans somewhere in the world.

Yes was on FM radio CONTINUALLY when I was a kid. There is also a clear Beatles influence there, so it stands to reason there must be at least one Yes fan among us.

But it’s definitely not me.

I used to listen to them in high school (in the mid to late 80s). I lost a bunch of my vinyl when my apartment flooded once, and my Yes, Pink Floyd, King Crimson and Jethro Tull albums were all casualties.

I never bought back any Yes or Jethro Tull.

VB: Yes!

I never bought back any Yes or Jethro Tull.

(I woulda re-bought (on CD) 4-5 Yes; 3-4 Tulls; maybe 7 Floyd and 9 or ten Crimso. And the only vinyl I’d really miss would be Tull’s “Thick as a Brick”, since the elaborate fake newspaper packaging is part of its coolness)

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

I think a few of my Tull albums survived, including Benefit and Thick as a Brick.

And I forgot that I did purchase This Was and Passion Play on CD.

I used to have a lot more though.

Fragile is my favourite, I’ve learnt a bit of bass from that. Close To The Edge is great as a concept album but for me, they tail off quite quickly after that.

I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe.  This has been true for 2016 & 2017 Sig-Badge.png but I may have to get more specific in the future.

I’m not a huge fan but what I have heard has been alright but I haven’t really delved too deeply into them.

I wanted to form a rival group called No that plays really short and simple songs.

Yep, I is.

Heart Of The Sunrise is my favourite song by them. (Along with all the songs on 90125).

Yes, ‘Yes’ is great! No pun intended. I remember my Aunt told me that when she was younger, she actually partied with the band backstage! She told me a while ago that she has pictures, so if she ever find’s them and shows me I’ll definitely share them with you all!
