…OK, recording dates are interesting! “Domino” was recorded in two sessions in April and September of 1962: two days after both Stu’s death and the recording of “Love Me Do “, respectively. And Reeds/Deeds was done on 25-6 February, 1963 along with the mixing of the PPM album.

So there you go. a-hard-days-night-paul-11

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

Our first arrival! ahdn_john_08_gif (This one came with a free mp3 download so I’ve been listening to it for the past several days anyway, but I’m still excited to get the physical graffiti thing on my shelf, with all the nice pictures of Robert Plant’s trousers Led Zeppelin live and such. a-hard-days-night-george-9

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8Thank you! Although I unfortunately haven’t been able to listen to any of the vinyl yet on account of a difficult situation regarding my record player, I have listened to both of the CDs. Tea for the Tillerman is definitely in my top favourite albums of all time. Every song on it is a gem.

Also, I picked up this a few days ago (although I have yet to listen to it):

This isn’t everything I’ve bought this year but it is what I’ve digitized so far. From this point on I’ll share what I’ve digitized. It doesn’t really exist to me until I digitize it. I almost never listen to physical product. I’ll also probably take my own pics from this point on as well

This comes from an album called Rarities.  Everything else was available elsewhere so I just got this .

Also I bit the bullet and bought these.

I actually got these a little while back, but I don’t like to double-post, so here they are now:

Not an album but I recently ordered a t shirt of Closer by Joy Division. I would have gotten the Unknown Pleasures one but I’d expect to be the subject of much mockery, and overall I think I prefer Closer anyways.

Side note, do you guys pronouncer it closer as in closer to something, or closer as in closing a door?

I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

A few weeks ago I got an original Abbey Road to replace my other original Abbey Road that I inherited from my mother which was in poor shape.

I also got my own American versions of Rubber Soul and Revolver

My boyfriend also got Two Virgins with this collection of vinyls. His idea. I basically knew the premise of the record before hand. ahdn_paul_01

Did a mass but inexpensive ($50 for all) eBuy to fill up the rest of my Box of Vision. I did get one surprise. Well, two actually. Someone thoughtfully put their names on the Anthology 1 ‘s.

Also the little curio in the second picture appeared in both the Red and Blue albums. They weren’t in mine when I originally bought them in 1993. I used them as fronts for the second discs of the White Album and Past Masters .

I bought a counterfeit European box to use for the core canon a few months ago. It’s kind of cool actually.
