As you can probably tell, I’ve really been getting back into these guys again recently. Those harmonies!

A UK pressing of Rory Gallagher’s Irish Tour ’74… that still has (what I strongly presume was) the original sticker from the shop it came from:

The vinyl itself is in pretty darned good shape, too. But, how did it get here?!?a-hard-days-night-ringo-14

‘Return to Ommadawn’ by Mike Oldfield. Love it. Well worth a listen if you are a fan of his early albums. Or just like great music from a master of the trade.

Went to a record shop and picked these up

Gone Troppo George Harrison (1983) LP
Don’t Be Fooled By The Name – David Bowie and the Lower Third (recorded 1966, released 1981) ten-inch LP with six tracks
Never heard or heard of the latter till now, it’s pretty dire but historically interesting.

I’ve probably bought more albums in the last six months than I have in the last five years. This afternoon I added The Cars and More Songs About Buildings and Food to my collection.

WeepingAtlasCedars

I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.
