I bought Pacific Daydream by Weezer a couple of days ago.

I just bought all four Animal As Leaders albums in the last month.  Very good instrumental metal music to me.

I got just a few…

American Pie – Don McLean. (Really good songs, a little slow in some places though, I think too many ballady tunes.)

Captain Fantastic And The Brown Dirt Cowboy – Elton John. (Great as well. All the songs grow on you, especially while admiring the awesome cover.)

Foreigner – Foreigner. (The vinyl is a little potato chipped, so the first song on each side is unplayable, but still a great rock album.)

Seven Separate Fools – Three Dog Night. (Eh, I have to listen to it a few more times. Not really much I liked on it.)

Tusk – Fleetwood Mac. (Actually totally AWESOME!!! The songs, the ordering, the packaging, god, it’s so good!!!)

My first Led Zeppelin album, and it’s on vinyl. beatlemaniacs_02_gif

I had to choose between it, Houses Of The Holy, The Dark Side Of The Moon, and Wish You Were Here… it was incredibly difficult, but I picked Zepp 3 because I haven’t any Zepp yet and that one is chronologically first AND, probably most decisively of all, it has a cool spinny thing to play with. a-hard-days-night-john-6

Here are my purchases, as promised yesterday:

IMG_20171204_205313.jpgImage Enlarger

The Who – The Who Sell Out (with what looks to be an original price sticker on the front. Of course, being blown away by that opening track made me curious to hear more. I have to say, I’m not disappointed at all! The advert sequences are definitely proto – Pythonesque! However, I should go back to the two previous albums though before going any further in The Who’s discography, methinks.)

The Beach Boys – Do It Again/Wake The World (1968)

The Beach Boys – Cottonfields/The Nearest Faraway Place (1970)

Don’t worry! I promise to get something Beatles/solo Beatles related next time! a-hard-days-night-ringo-14

Came across all of these in a charity shop:

IMG_20171222_001032.jpgImage Enlarger

J.S. Bach – Two Concertos For Harpsichord (in E Major and in D Minor) performed by the Chamber Orchestra Prague (have no idea when this was recorded)

Paul McCartney Flaming Pie (1997) (quite excited to hear this one! a-hard-days-night-paul-7)

The Kinks – Remastered, Disc Two (compilation, 1995, recorded 1964 – 1970)

The Kinks – Remastered, Disc Three (compilation, 1995, recorded 1964 – 1966)

I couldn’t see Disc One anywhere in the shop, which was a shame.

The Beatles – Let It Be (1970) (This is a US import of the album which is cool, as the back of the album says it was “Manufactured by Apple Records, Inc. 1700 Broadway, New York, New York 10019 an ABKCO managed company” rather than “An E.M.I. Recording Printed and manufactured by Garrod and Lofthouse Ltd., Apple Records” which is printed on UK pressings. For some unusual reason, the record itself is in a Decca sleeve, but I’m guessing that’s because the original sleeve was lost or something. Still quite happy to have the album, nevertheless.)

Paul McCartney McCartney II (1980) (Not really much to say about this, but still happy to have this too!)

Did you check to see if it was a counterfeit?

I don’t know where exactly to check that out, but I think it’s a proper copy that’s just missing it’s original sleeve. It has the red Apple label on the back and on the record itself if that in any way helps, as I’ve seen versions of the back cover with the green apple.

I spent the morning on Nugs.net, purchasing the new years Widespread Panic shows I was at, and ended up finding and buying some other soundboard recordings of other Widespread shows that I was at, as well as a few memorable shows from other bands.

Its my last couple days as an 18 year old, and i’m starting to realize how many damn concerts I’ve been to already!
