Happy Birthday to me! I received only the whitest of vinyls for my birthday.
Yep that’s right! I got The Beatles in the flesh on the black(ironically) discs!
I’m sure this is the joy that SG felt when she got that one George album on CD, and probably the secondhand joy she felt when I got the same album on vinyl.
Also I did buy Ringo a couple of weeks ago, and just kept forgetting to post it here.
It’s in pretty good condition, except the back cover of the book is missing.
Hopefully there was no picture for “You And Me (Babe)”.

Offline Okay, posting here again. So I was going to take Sister Shears Campbell and her friend to the vinyl store next week, but we ended up just going today since I wasn’t doing anything huge.
The guy at the vinyl store gave me this copy of Let It Be /You Know My Name (Look Up The Number) for free as a birthday present.
The I replaced the sleeve because the one it came in was completely destroyed, however I’m not even sure if it was the original sleeve. The record sounds a little scratchy but it probably just needs a wipe down; however, I’m not complaining since it was free. Also apparently it was previously owned by someone named Robert Cox.
I also bought this Paul McCartney “Press” Promo. It’s the video edit of “Press” on both sides. Apparently it was used by a radio station to play the song over the air.
Both sides are identical, and in beautiful condition!
Then I bought John Lennon ‘s Double Fantasy . I felt like I needed some Lennon in my collection.
It’s also in great condition, although the inner sleeve was a bit tattered. I put some tape on the edges to prevent them from ripping more.

Aaargh! I want to go record shop now! Even if it’s half past one in the morning here in England! I’m currently saving up to buy The Beach Boys ‘ Friends (1968) off Amazon , but afterwards I want to go back to buying Beatles and solo stuff (there’s a copy of Imagine which is £15 last time I checked, as well as Meet The Beatles and George Harrison (the album)), and actually buy something Pink Floyd!
My biggest regret was not buying a Gerry and The Pacemakers EP which had (possibly) their autographs on the back for a very cheap £3. Hopefully, that’s still there too.

See I knew if I didn’t buy that copy of ATMP that was in amazing condition, I would regret it for the rest of my life. When you get a deal like that, NEVER pass it up!

Tomorrow’s Sunday, it doesn’t matter. Not even late where I am.
I bought a kinda scratched up copy of Beck-Ola for 25 cents. I thought the cover was a parody of the Beatles Apple label. A big apple (aka, 4 huge egos) condensed into a small room. Turns out it wasn’t.
Has good covers of Jailhouse Rock and All Shook Up on it though.

Well I mean the case is scuffed up a bit and has ringwear, and the poster has pinholes, but the record plays fine. Also the inner sleeve was coming undone and I had to glue it back together. It’s also the US version, not sure if that would affect the price.

Offline Today I bought Part 1 of the greatest album duo ever!
It’s not in the best condition. There’s like two skips on side 1 and one kip on side 2, but eh that’s what you get for $3.
So in Father Shears Campbell had this Dusty Springfield 45 sleeve in his collection, but inside was not a Dusty Springfield record, instead it was this coca-cola record(which he has 2 copies of). When I went through his 7″‘s I looked for the actual record that belonged in the sleeve, but it was nowhere to be found.
So today at the record store, I looked through this box of unsleeved 45’s and the second one I pulled out was none other than the record that goes with FSC’s sleeve. The guy gave it to me for like 50¢ so I bought it.

Offline I finally got to go to the record shop — AFTER I PLANNED TO TWO WEEKS AGO!!! 
I originally set out to get 33 1/3 (which was there, and I almost bought (sorry, George 
) but got these two compilations instead.
I might get 33 1/3 next time. I’m also still saving up for Friends (Beach Boys album) on Amazon.
Plus, there was a whole bunch of Roy Orbison albums there that weren’t there last time, which is good.

Offline Friends is a worthwhile investment. If you can’t find an original at the store, Amazon is the right call because the reissues can be really expensive. I have a reissue,m and its one of my favorite records to play.

Offline Oh my god, I’ve come into possession of a GERMAN White Album ! (At least, I think it’s german.) It’s numbered 23,784. Hardly any ring wear, it came with the posters/photos, and the records play perfectly.
To say I’m excited is a horrible understatement.
