Self-explanatory. Could be CDs, vinyl, cassettes, 8tracks, full-album MP3 downloads, etc.
I just got…
…Back To The Egg on vinyl.

Hm. Beatles For Sale and With The Beatles are the only albums that I don’t own the 2009 versions. I own the 1987 versions of everything.
By the way, I like the “asked with feeling”/”roared into the dead of night”/etc. things you’ve been doing lately.

Yesterday , I bought my first original studio album on vinyl!
A mono version of Rubber Soul . Not sure if it is the so called ‘Loud Cut’ pressing though?

Just today I bought Nas’ Illmatic (cause I need more than 30 hiphop albums and this one’s apparently a classic and was fairly cheap) and Vince Guaraldi’s 1964 soundtrack for “A Boy Named Charlie Brown” (a jazz album that surely even noted jazz-hater (and Peanuts lover) meanmistermustard can appreciate!)

(It wasn’t the Christmas album I bought but “Linus and Lucy” is on both albums)

Depends what type of jazz it is. I hate modern jazz which lasts years yet features two changes thru-out and the drummer having less imagination than a slow-witted goldfish.

I left you the youtube embed because I figured you’d like it, and probably recognize it. It’s not really “modern”, just fairly typical boppish mid-60s piano trio stuff.

Have had the football on so havent listened to it.
Am now. . .
I have a desire to slam a piano lid really hard down to close it – whilst the guy is playing. And that drummer needs another drum stick or did someone just forget to give him the signal for a tempo change.
Sorry but 3 minutes of that is 2 mins 30 seconds too much for me.

I’m also quite enjoying it.
And on topic, I finally bought NEW sometime last week. Until then all I had was New and Save Us from iTunes and only really new four of the songs well. Great album! I have a question about it, but it probably belongs on the thread for the album.

I recently bought Jack White’s new album, Lazaretto. It’s excellent, definitely a worthy follow up to Blunderbuss. I think he may be setting himself up as one of those Paul (McCartney) or Paul (Simon) musicians who have successful solo careers after leaving a successful band. The album’s really good, my favorites are High Ball Stepper, Temporary Ground, and I Think I Found The Culprit

Sir Paul left a less successful band? I’d say that The Beatles were pretty successful. Wings, too.

He just said successful, not less.
The vinyl of Lazaretto is reallllly cool! I haven’t heard much Jack White, but like some White Stripes stuff so I might get the vinyl just because its so cool.
I got Pipes Of Peace on vinyl yesterday. Didn’t like the title track, love Say Say Say (but I knew that already) and haven’t listened to the rest yet. I know it isn’t gonna be great, but hope it’d not horrible.

Yesterday , I bought The Blue Album on vinyl, my mom already has the Red Album , so that is a nice collection.
I also bought With The Beatles on vinyl, second hand. It really stinks, it smells like smoke,I’ve already tried to spray deodorant on it but that didn’t work… So now I just keep it in a bag because I don’t want my other vinyls to start stinking as well, sigh… At least it was cheap
And I bought Magical Mystery Tour on CD, 2009 remastered.

I bought The Beatles in Stereo on CD today (yes, all 16 CDs!) I remember thinking, “Man, this sucker is huge!” My wife giving me all sorts of crap for buying a $216 collection when “You already have the songs!” Some people just don’t get it.
