Offline Well people might think my reason is a little immature and disrespectful but i was thinking of something to name the account when i thought of a Lysol toilet cleaner commercial from a couple of years ago and one of the ones the mentioned was John. and i thought. hey that wouldn’t be a bad username and thats how The John was born
I Think that Rolling Stone should do a cover story of The Rolling Stones covering "Like a Rolling Stone" or if a Type of Beetle was named after The Beatles.

I think it started as a bad U2 pun but because I like penguins so much I usually have a penguin-related avatar and to explain that I claim the penguin in disguise as a sheep. No it doesn’t make sense. Now I can claim it’s an obscure Paul McCartney pun but I’ll probably get the details wrong. Any other suggestions for an explanation welcome. I have a lot of explaining to do all over the internet.
I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 
but I may have to get more specific in the future.

I was originally BeatleBug as a pun on ‘Beatles’ and my childhood nickname ‘Doodlebug’. But then I saw everyone here seemed to be usernamed after slightly-obscure-but-something-Beatley-people-would-catch Beatles characters, and then I quoted Martha My Dear for the thousandth time in reference to myself, and so I decided that I would be known as Silly Girl. Because (surprise!) I am one.
One great thing about my username is that there is never any confusion as to my gender.
I confess I very occasionally thank posts Ahhh Girl has thanked for the sole reason that our usernames look very nice juxtaposed. 
Semi-on-topic thought: I also confess it took me the longest time to realise that Ahhh Girl’s username was in reference to the song Girl. At first I just thought it was a fairly random username that perhaps described a similar sentiment to the one expressed in her avatar. Like, dreamy sighs for Paul or something, I dunno…
Then one day I was singing Girl and I went, ‘Ahhhhhhhhh, giiiiiirrrrllll,’ and I finally ‘piph’nied. By the time I found all the threads where AG explained her username, I’d already figured it out. 
Anyway, yeah, that’s that.

Offline Out of interest……I read somewhere that Rumplestiltskin was old German ‘slang’ for something I don’t have anymore……….
As for me my first name was Atlas from one of George’s songs……’Atlas cedars’. Bit too obscure so changed it to something from Hey Bulldog ……’Jack-knife’ too aggressive
‘Sheepdog’….been done…..’Bulldog’ too pugnacious…’Child -like’……I’m too old…..So like Atlas cedars…..a wigwam is sort of ‘sticky’…And it’s stuck.

Offline I was born on John Lennon ‘s 21st birthday and he was quite correct in his observation that the number 9 seems to follow us around quite a bit. I’ve always been amazed by I Am The Walrus . It blew my mind as a kid and it still blows my mind, in a very good way. So I chose to honor the 9 and that wonderful song with my username.
