I believe we indeed do have a thread for this already.

Anyway, I chose Linde, because…behold yourself..it is my name.

I think your name is quite beautiful, Linde. Is it pronounced in Dutch the way I’m thinking of it being pronounced : “Lind” would rhyme with “send” and then a long “e.” May be a no-brainer question, but, hey, thought I’d ask.

Haha of course you can ask. I’m happy to explain it to people, hate it when they pronounce my name wrong.

Lind doesn’t rhyme with send, but it does rhyme with wind, for example. Lin sounds exactly the same as the name Lynn. The E at the end isn’t long. If it was, I’d be called Lindie. The E is sorta pronounced like the u in bun, for example. So I guess it sounds like Lynnduhh.

Kind of like Paul’s 1st wife’s name – Linda – never thought about it but it does sound like “duhh.”

Funny story, (can’t edit my original post for some reason otherwise I’d put it in there). I once was a member of some other forum and I met some of it’s members, who were British. I never gave it a thought that perhaps they would pronounce my name differently. But they just kept calling me Lind.

I’ve heard anything, Lindy, Lynn, Linda often too. Someone once even called me Rosalinde, of which I don’t understand where they got that Rosa part from. It’s ridiculous. My name is only 5 letters and it’s not that rare.

I was trying to think of a username, having no imagination with these things i was trying to think of a song and Mean Mister Mustard came to mind. Its not one of my favourite songs but considering i can be grumpy, easily annoyed, blunt, very sarcastic and very dry in my comments (not meant in a manner to hurt anyone however (“it’s only me it’s not my mind”)) i suppose it’s fittingly the closest character they wrote about.

In my head I pronounce your name as Lind (sorry a-hard-days-night-george-10 ) but if I ever met you I’d be sure to say Linduh :)

I never got the sense of that from reading your comments

Hey did  you hear Apple are releasing a Beatles Bouncing Castle*, perfect for little moptops first Holy Communion’s and at a bargain rental price of €650 a day, dirt cheap

*The pump to inflate the castle is an extra €400 but it does play everyone’s favourite Beatles song ‘Hold Me Tight ‘ while inflating and when you go to deflate it ‘Don’t Let Me Down :)

Well, my username origins date back to 2008. a-hard-days-night-john-3 I was just discovering The Beatles that year and I studied all their story a-hard-days-night-john-5, heard their albums a-hard-days-night-paul-8, watched the Anthology DVD’s like hundreds of times ahdn_george_08, looked for bootlegs and inspired me to do audio engineering as a hobby by editing Beatles stuff a la George Martin/Norman Smith/Geoff Emericka-hard-days-night-ringo-15, and then started to uploaded my experiments to YouTube. My original account was TheOneBeatle, as at the time, I admired one Beatle at the time, John Lennon (which is still my favorite) a-hard-days-night-john-1, and also I wanted to become someone who could tell anything by The Beatles a-hard-days-night-paul-7 (My dad and brother get bored of me because I talk too much about The Beatles) ahdn_ringo_09. That account went closed in 2010 as I used a lot of information from the Beatles Bible (which is copyrighted, thing that I didn’t knew at the time a-hard-days-night-ringo-6) and I couldn’t remove all the information in time to avoid the closure when I was notified ahdn_george_05, but I came back to YouTube as TheOneBeatleManiac (originally I went for TheOneTwoBeatle, but as soon as I created the account, I forgot the password and email with which I created it paul-mccartney), which I adopted here when the topics of the forum attracted me and the site was growing more and more, though I wasn’t that active as I am now. a-hard-days-night-john-6

When I joined the Beatles Bible forum, I noticed that everyone had clever, Beatle-istic nicknames. So, instead of just Bob, I put about two seconds’ worth of thought into it, and chose “Bungalow Bob.” I guess I might have picked “Dr. Robert,” or “Ten-Bob note,” if I had thought at that time that I was gonna stick around on the forum. But the odd word “bungalow” does pay homage to John Lennon ‘s fondness for nonsensical wordplay; I’m sure he was just riffing on the colorful American frontier icon Buffalo Bill Cody. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B…..ffalo_Bill   And I used to live near Cody, Wyoming, which is not that far from somewhere in the Black Mountain Hills of Dakota, so, uh… there’s that, too. :)

My ‘nickname’ on here is pretty obvious, but a kind of nickname I have in real life is Minnie. This is because, when I was young, all I wanted to eat was cheese – so, Minnie mouse (my mom assumed she ate/eats a lot of cheese, too). Thing is, I don’t particularly like cheese now, and don’t eat a lot of it, but the name has remained. It annoys me because I think of ‘mini’ when I hear it, as in ‘miniature’, thus reminding me that I’m short blue-meanie

Moving along in our God given ways, safety is sat by the fire/Sanctuary from these feverish smiles, left with a mark on the door.

I was thinking of a Beatley name to sign up for the forum and I believe I was listening to Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite. Maybe there was more thought put into it than that, but I thought it was a good name. I think it fits now and I’m glad it’s what I chose! stuart-sutcliffe

Mine’s pretty bland. WETS is the station I work for. Roosa is my last name. Hence…

I used to be far more creative with profile names. Back when NBC had a chat room for teens (where sometimes you’d get to talk to the actors of shows like Saved By The Bell and Hang Time and what not), my name was Big&TallDweeb. There’s a really good story about how one of the Hang Time actresses  came in the chat room (she had been in there before), recognized my chat name and openly talked dirty to me for an hour, much to the delight of the rest of the chat room. Good times.

After getting my sisters from school they’d sometimes put Hang Time on the tv (on the tv channel Trouble). Damn, that brings back memories.

Surprised to see in its wiki entry it ran for 104 episodes tho as the storylines where always the same, i guess we only caught the early episodes.

cra is Classic Rock Albums. It’s a page I have on fb.  I was registering a whole slew of sites so I could gather information for the page and this site was one of them.  Being a huge Beatles fan means I’m here as a fan as well as keeping up on things.

I have a variety of different usernames that I use on many different websites, including logannnm, p r i s m, purple_dragon_spyro and Lady Stardust. However, I decided to think of a new username for this website. I was thinking I like psychedelic culture… I like flowers… TrippyFlower! TrippyFlower is now the username I use on most websites.

I’m either Rickman or RocketRichard on other threads, but I thought I’d use RINGO for the Beatles Forum, then realized how lame or unoriginal it sounded!

So Bongo it is!

Stole it from Led Belly. No, seriously.

This one’s unique to this forum, for completely unjustified reasons. As for choosing it, I play the 12 string and I found a couple of the Abbey Road songs had John playing 12 string backing, so I decided to nick Led Belly’s title.
