What would be your all-star lineup of 12-15 Beatles tracks on one album? Not necessarily your favorite songs, but the ones that would make an album the best thing you’ve ever heard. For me, it would be :
4.) I Am The Walrus
5.) Norwegian Wood
6.) Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite!
7.) While My Guitar Gently Weeps
8.) Hey Bulldog
9.) Get Back
10.) Dear Prudence
11.) Helter Skelter
12.) All You Need Is Love
13.) A Day In The Life
14.) The End

Tough task. And trying to sequence the tracks…oy vey !
2) Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)
3) I Need You
4) Nowhere Man
5) Girl
6) Rain
7) Penny Lane
8) Yes It Is
9) Got To Get You Into My Life
10) In My Life
11) While My Guitar Gently Weeps
12) For No One
13) With A Little Help From My Friends

Hmm… Toughie.
Mine would go something like this
2. Penny Lane
3. Across The Universe (Naked)
4. No Reply
5. Something (Anthology)
9. Blackbird
10. Hey Jude
11. Octopus’s Garden
13. Real Love
14. Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight / The End
Shh…The last one is one track. Really though, it’s impossible to compile all the best Beatles songs in one album. Even the Red and the Blue albums aren’t enough for me! 1 does a fairly decent job at making it all concise, but it is sorely lacking Strawberry Fields Forever , Revolution , and Please Please Me . But everyone has different favorites, and most of mine are here on this list I’ve just compiled.
edit: Honorable mentions go to If I Needed Someone , Help !, Revolution , and While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Anthology)
edit again: I also totally forgot I’ve Got A Feeling

I’m certainly not going to improve on many “real” Beatles albums, but…
Side 1
Across The Universe (Anthology)
You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away> (no gap)
Side 2
Don’t Let Me Down
Tomorrow Never Knows > (string these three together w/no gap or fade out/fade in whichever works best)
I Want You (She’s So Heavy)
I wasn’t deliberately giving Paul and George the short shrift, but it does look that way.
It's gotta be rock and roll music if you wanna dance with me

Here’s one, I took Let It Be and made it so it fit in more with the film, adding songs like Maxwell’s Silver Hammer and Don’t Let Me Down that didn’t make the album but were in the film and put them here:
The version of Two Of Us on here contains a minute of Paul’s Piano Piece before John says his “I dig a pigmy by Charles Horty and the def aids…” and we go into the actual song itself, which is the version seen in the movie with John and Paul on acoustic guitars and George playing bass on his Tele, the version of Maxwell’s Silver Hammer is from the movie when Paul’s playing piano and John and George are both playing guitar and Paul playing the bassline on his piano, the version of Across The Universe on here involves just John singing and playing his acoustic guitar and unlike the version on Let It Be , the speed is unaltered, the version of Dig It on here is extended to 1 minute 51 seconds, the version of Let It Be on here is the single version, Paul does not play bass at all on side 1.
Side 2 is their live performance at the Apple Rooftop, completely unaltered and in perfect order.

That sounds like a fantastic album! I have almost no qualms whatsoever with listening to that lineup! At least 3 of those songs are in my top 10, with about 7 in my top 20, so I’m going to listen to that now, I think.

Not much to disagree with there!
Seeing the closer for side A has reminded me that it has been a VERY long (embarrassingly so) time since I listened to Long Tall Sally .
Will Volume 3 be Ringo presents: Drums?

Your ideal Beatles album is three albums? Might as well combine them all into one album with 200+ songs.
