Does anyone have the YSS mono version (Dr. Ebbetts)? There is a mono version of All You Need Is Love (4 minutes, 19 seconds) that cuts off abruptly before the 4:19 mark. However, I have noticed several references on different websites (reviews, comments) that state this track is supposed to end (or always ends) abruptly on all copies. Can anyone confirm that the track is supposed to end abruptly before 4:19?

Interesting question. Yellow Submarine Soundtrack was never released in mono. In England, it was released as fold-down-stereo so Dr. Ebbetts did release a different mono version of AYNIL and he issued a mono pressing of the Songtrack? That’s news to me.

All versions of the mono Yellow Submarine Songtrack are ripped off from the Dr. Ebbett’s version as Apple never put together a mono version, he did. When looking for details on bootlegs, it is always worth checking the BootlegZone.com. Under comments for this album, they include part of Dr. E’s original notes, which mention All You Need Is Love .

The 4:19 AYNIS is mono remix 11 which was going to be in the Yellow Submarine film, so was artificially extended but ultimately overlooked for a far shorter edit, probably due to time-restrictions and to move the film along at a faster pace.
And many of the missing YS true mono mixes, excluding this AYNIL & the 8 minute It’s All Too Much , were finally released by Apple in the 2009 mono box.
