The Beatles were the heaviest band ever

I spent some time yesterday listening to the Beatles LPs. The sound was overwhelming. I came to the realization that the Beatles had the heaviest sound ever. I first listened to the White Album , and my god, the sound was so heavy, so filled with dread!

So, I thought that it’s just the sign of times, the turbulent 1968 with societal strife and Revolution on the streets. No wonder the sound is so heavy and edgy. But if I go back and play their earlier LPs, the sound will probably ease up and be more airy and mellow.

I then played their LP “A Hard Day’s Night ” from 1964. And instead of poppy, easy listening sound, I was again bulldozed over by the same heavy, super intense sound. And album after album, it became clear to me that the Beatles were the heaviest band ever.

I finished my listening session with their compilation LP “Hey Jude “, side one. I had to stop listening after the song “Rain “. Too much, too intense, too heavy. No band ever sounded like the Beatles on “Rain “. How did they even manage to get such incredible sound? It’s almost like I was listening to some song from the future.
