My favorite is 'Rubber Soul ' but 'Revolver is right behind that. Both of these albums were a major turning point for them which took them from pop albums to concept albums.
Let me know what your favorite album is and why.

If you ask me today, Abbey Road . Why? I dunno, someone said it has a summer feeling and I love Summer. Also, we have 3 great writers there.
Ask me tomorrow and I might say Revolver .

White Album . It edges out Abbey because it was the first Beatle album I bought so it holds sentimental value. But I discovered some really amazing songs on that album and Revolution 9 .
Well we all shine on like the moon, the stars, and the sun.
A Hard Day's Night , because it's full of amazing pop songs. Apart from maybe I'll Cry Instead , I don't think there's a bad song on there.
I'm sure there's been a thread on this topic before...

I think we all know what a difficult question that is to answer since every album has its own distinct personality and it so much depends on what mood you're in as to which is a favorite album. Overall, I think Rubber Soul is my favorite album because most of the songs are so organic (no major recording frills) yet the songs are so wonderful.
However, that said, if I had to pick only one to take on a desert island it would have to be the White Album not only for the sheer number of songs but because pretty much every type of Beatle music can be found on it.

Revolver .
You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.

(PS: Have you seen the "IWY(SSH)" thread? It's an absolute mess-- and you didn't even contribute to the derailment!)
I like that word. It should be an actual word that Beatles fans use.
If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

Revolver Revolver Revolver all the way. It was such a turning point for them and for me almost every song on that album is pure genius. Really only Yellow Submarine and Dr. Robert weren't that great, but the rest is absolutely amazing. I think I probably listen to it way too much.
