It’s been awhile since I’ve listened to the whole discography from top to bottom so I don’t yet feel qualified to make a credible ranking of their albums so I make the distinction of noting that this is list of my top 5 favorite. Do feel free to do a complete ranking of your favorite and/or your take on what ones are definitively the best
1. The Magical Mystery Tour
2. Sgt. Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band
3. Revolver
4. Rubber Soul
5. Help !
I had a tough time choosing between Help ! and A Hard Day’s Night – I feel like “Can’t Buy Me Love ” is classic Beatles, a song that instantly conjures up images of that Beatles-mania aura but “Yesterday ” might be one of the greatest songs ever written, really it’s a toss-up, which can be said about most of The Beatles’ catalog. I felt weird about picking The Magical Mystery Tour but it’s an amazing compilation of songs – from the information I’ve gathered they had the right to approve the final track listing for the American LP release and although that’s the enduring version in their official catalog they made it with the intention of it being an EP instead album so it doesn’t feel as pure of a selection for the #1 spot

4. Help !
Revolver will always have the first slot, because it’s just an album I’ve loved forever. It was the first real record I ever owned.

There is a thread for favourite Beatles albums here. To avoid duplicate conversations I will lock this one. Feel free @Bullion and @The Hippie Chick to add your posts to there.
