Sinec the Revolver album was released on August 5 1966, I think it's because the three songs called “I'm Only Sleeping”, “Doctor Robert ” and “And Your Bird Can Sing ” were previously released on a USA album on June 20 1966.

Capitol wouldn't conform to the UK albums……until Sgt Pepper anyway.

In preparation for the US album Yesterday … And Today, mixes of three Revolver songs were made during this session for Capitol Records.
Of the songs recorded so far, it was decided that Doctor Robert, I’m Only Sleeping and And Your Bird Can Sing would make the cut. During this session, which began at 1.45pm and finished at 3.30pm, mono mixes of the songs were made.
The mixes of Doctor Robert and I’m Only Sleeping were each done in a
single attempt. I’m Only Sleeping was more complicated, however, and
involved different mixes being made from takes 10 and 6. These were
edited together at the end of the session.
The mix of Doctor Robert was also edited slightly, as, incidentally, were the mono and stereo mixes made for Revolver .

I didn't quite know all the details, very interesting. I think what we might be confused about is whether or not you're asking a question that we all can discuss together. There is another thread that I think we're discussing the differences from U.S. releases and UK if you wanted to share this there!

I know that. Why do you need to repeat to us facts we probably already know
I quite often wonder this too. Danielcelano – could you think again before starting these random threads about very minor details please?

They're from this article, which I wrote: /1966/05/12/mixing-doctor-robert-im-only-sleeping-and-your-bird-can-sing/
Why it needed to be quoted in a thread here I still don't know.
