I’m Only Sleeping is so far out there compared to most songs. Gotta love it!Backwards guitar, who knew!
not just backwards, but played forwards (that is to say, he played backwards but matched the forward-playing melody). Must have been incredibly difficult to figure out how to make it sound just right. I had the song as my ringtone for awhile

I change my mind on this one almost every week, I think it’s And Your Bird Can Sing at the moment. It’s just so propulsive with some great guitar work.

I like ‘Doctor Robert ‘ a lot. The harmonies from Paul are excellent.

Me too. When I am down, that bright, upbeat guitar tone picks me up. @Matt Busby hurt my feelings when he said we all agree it’s the worst song on the album. I hope to recover soon, though. Maybe I’ll listen to Doctor Robert .
I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

My apologies @georgiewood – i certainly didn’t mean to hurt anyone’s feelings. it’s a really good song, just ranks 14th among 14 great songs (imo of course). It’s got a catchy melody, an upbeat “choo-choo” beat, and yes good harmonies (though I think Paul does much better on some other songs).Me too. I hope you got that prescription (to listen to the song) from Doctor Robert ps – I can’t get this thing out of italics mode – I don’t mean to emphasize the entire thing!

Although many say it’s overrated (and they have a point) my favorite is still Yellow Submarine . It takes me back to elementary class, where we first learned it in music class. Plus, it’s fun! I still say it’s supposed to be a children’s song and that’s why I like it!

Right now it’s probably And Your Bird Can Sing .
I find it hard to choose though, this album is just too amazing.

Matt Busby called from the village square
Silly Girl enthused, alone in her tree
I just listened to Revolver again today, and I realised anew that my favourites are (in order of track-listing):#2: Taxman , Eleanor Rigby , I’m Only Sleeping , She Said She Said , Good Day Sunshine , And Your Bird Can Sing , For No One , Got To Get You Into My Life .
#3: Love You To , Yellow Submarine , Tomorrow Never Knows
As someone who has a lot of trouble ranking songs that are all great, you’ve echoed my sentiments quite well <snip> MIt’s still better than Doctor Robert though [which I assume, not having been mentioned, defaults to worst song on the album for just about all of us). <snip>
Oh @#$%! I forgot Doctor Robert ! I’m ashamed of myself. And I thought I had the tracklist memorised….
Okay, here we go. Omitted tracks included, expanded with brief commentary.
#1: Here There And Everywhere (No words needed– or sufficient.)
#2: Taxman (Oh! the WIT and IRONY…) Eleanor Rigby (A longtime favourite of mine– the scoring scintillates) I’m Only Sleeping (Do you have any idea how much I empathise with John here?) She Said She Said (OH THAT DRUMMIN’) Good Day Sunshine (Just a good, happy, sunny song) And Your Bird Can Sing (The guitar is just pure seething frustration at you not getting me, AND technically mindblowing) For No One (Beautiful, great chords, and French horn) I Want To Tell You (I will not hear one negative word about this song. The discord– the vocals– it’s fab. Shut up.) Got To Get You Into My Life (It makes me jump up and down, SOO fun to sing)
#3: Love You To (Mad Indian stuff, but fab anyway) Yellow Submarine (YES I LIKE IT) Doctor Robert (Paul’s harmony is wonderful) Tomorrow Never Knows (groovy song, man)
