Hello there. Hope I'm not making a faux-pas by starting a new thread for this, but I thought maybe you'd be interested in this piece I just posted looking at songs from the last three decades that seem to have taken a strong influence from tracks on Magical Mystery Tour ...

I was going to move it to the Pimp Your Stuff thread (where it belongs, really), but you get to stay by mentioning Super Furry Animals and Gorky's, two of my favourite bands.

Haha, that list is more like songs from the last TWO decades rather than three, otherwise I'd have heard more of them than just Cornershop and Apples in Stereo!
You might have included Tears For Fears' "Sowing The Seeds of Love" (sounds like a mix of "I Am The Walrus " and "Hello, Goodbye ")
One day, a tape-op got a tape on backwards, he went to play it, and it was all "Neeeradno-undowarrroom" and it was "Wow! Sounds Indian!"
