I don’t listen to ‘Love’ that often (i think since it came out i’ve not even close to 10 plays)

I’d hear it ever so often when I had Beatles on Random on my iPod, but have since moved it out of my “Beatles UK canon” and moved it to “Beatles Xtras” in my iTunes.  I don’t believe it belongs in the canon, as it is just another re-release, like “Beatles 1”.a-hard-days-night-ringo-14

I listen Now And Then , still love the Kite/I Want You mashup. But it is a novelty.

I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe.  This has been true for 2016 & 2017 Sig-Badge.png but I may have to get more specific in the future.

The Fool On The Hill ‘ and ‘Girl’ were two of the better ones, no idea why they were omitted from the album; space? I really do like how the guitar riff from ‘And I Love Her ‘ is used in the chorus of ‘Girl’.

I really dig Drive My Car / The Word / What You’re Doing and Gnik Nus, but I don’t listen to the album that often, and when one of the tracks comes on when I have The Beatles on shuffle I usually skip them.

Gnik Nus is my favorite followed by Lady Madonna and the Drive My Car / The Word / What You’re Doing transition.  I enjoy the album a lot and don’t hit skip if one of the tracks comes up random, but that’s more because it’s a Beatles song and I just can’t skip. Plus I’ve seen the show at least four times and it’s amazing.

i really didn’t like it, i don’t want to hear “Within You Without You ” with “Tomorrow Never Knows ” running underneath. Its like some horrible stars on 45 mix of the beatles catalogue.

uggghhh. I prefer to pretend it doesn’t exist.

I guess this album gets a lot of hate.paul-mccartney Let me just say, I really love “Love”.

It’s just seems so new and fresh, and it’s fun to guess all the different parts of the song mashups.

Listening to the demo of Strawberry Fields Forever is just awesome on a great stereo system.

While My Guitar Gently Weeps sound really beautiful with the extra verses and the string arrangement.

Get Back is just killer when combined with the AHDN chord and the backwards A Day In The Life crash.

Those are my thoughts ahdn_paul_06

I have it in my car’s CD player. It doesn’t get stale like listening over and over again to one of their albums (my CD player can only hold one CD a-hard-days-night-paul-11) and it has songs from the different eras so it’s all great.

I think Love is great – I think of it as a compilation that actually has some artistic merit and thought put into it, as opposed to the cynical and pointless ‘Yellow Submarine Soundtrack’.  And I think it’s really cool that Paul and Ringo encouraged them to go even further with it, rather than being precious about their music being ‘tampered’ with.

I wouldn’t say I could listen to it over and over, but it’s really nice to have on on a sunny day. I like the way that it gives prominence to (horrible phrase coming up) ‘deep cuts’ (told you) as well, instead of playing it safe.  I do like mashups generally, when done well anyway, which I suppose is a prerequisite to enjoying it.

Whenever I’ve heard it it normally encourages me to go back to the original albums as well, which is surely a good sign.

Got the CD, LOVE the a capella version of Because , While My Guitar Gently Weeps (that version is lovely, the original is also great of course), Drive My Car /The Word /What You’re Doing is an eargasm, and I blame track 14 (via the Rock Band game) for starting this whole mess of Beatlemania with me. =D

Haven’t really given the second half a good listen-through yet, but it gets my approval. heart

New official video for the ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps ‘ remix on ‘Love’.

I have no idea what is going on in the video.

Indeed!

And the ‘moral of the story’ is obviously that George’s words are like a warm embrace! (see below)

I like the video but I don’t think it is the best music video.

The bit where she’s drawn a guitar and the initials G.H. are at the bottom (@ 1:50) was a rather sweet touch and nod to George.

I must say i don’t like the orchestra. Take 1 is beautiful, to add over it just takes away; I just want to wipe it off.

Personally, I really like LOVE remix of WMGGW, but I would say I like it better without the orchestra.  I like the video too, but it’s a bit too ‘artsy’ for me.paul-mccartney Still, it was really nice to get to watch a brand new Beatles video after running 3 miles yesterday.

I really like Love. I think taking existing songs and doing new things with them, especially with classic rock era songs, is a front ripe with potential. The BOMR/HS/IWYSSH mix with the Kite sound effects, HS screams and IWYSSH riffs sounds absolutely incredible.

I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.
