So, anyone try the 5.1 Channel surround sound on Love??????
I did, once. It was an ok experience, but not a huge leap necessarily from listening to the album through a really good pair of headphones. I spotted maybe just a few little differences, like, “oh, that rhythm guitar is coming from behind me now instead of from the front,” things like that.
Nothing will ever beat seeing the show live in Vegas, though, with the surround-sound speakers built right into the headrests of your chair, and seeing all that visually beautiful stuff going on in front of you.

There’s a strange count in, by George Martin I presume, in the LOVE version of I Am The Walrus . Does anyone know what this is from?

No idea @kpmlsp1.
The track is said to be a straight remix until the end; tho there is no count in in any of the outtakes and alternate mixes. Reminds me of the count in to take 25 of ‘Strawberry Fields’ but in truth it could be anywhere.

I’ve read past posts on the demo of SFF they used in Love, but I just want to make sure I have the right ones. If someone could tell me all the versions of SFF used in Love, that would be great. (Not including sounds used in Eleanor Rigby /Julia , just from the actual mix)

It’s been a long while since I have dug into listening closely and deconstruction this album! Don’t forget about the Come Together snippet at the very end of the Get Back track.

@kpmlsp1; from John C. Winn’s ‘That Magic Feeling’
The [Strawberry Fields Forever ] Love remix begins with a home demo, segues into take 1 and concludes with take 26. The ending is overlaid with a mashup of elements from “Sgt. Pepper ’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” “In My Life,” “I’m Only Sleeping,” “Penny Lane ,” “Piggies ,” and “Hello Goodbye.”

What snippet are you talking about? This might be a new find. I know I’m not aware of this.

I don’t hear any talking… Can you pinpoint where in the song it is?

Starting at about 1:36. You can hear them saying “Mate.” “Is that safe?” “Good, excellent.” something of that sort.

It’s from Polythene Pam /She Came In Through The Bathroom Window . It’s very quiet in the background underneath the guitar solo that bridges the two songs.

Is there anyway I can hear these? The isolated vocal tracks don’t include them.

I can’t help you there, honestly. Sorry. I only figured it out by listening to the track really closely. Maybe someone else can answer better than I can.

John says “Fab! That’s great. Real good that, real good. We’ll listen to that now, hehehe. Oh look out!”
You can clearly hear John’s comments towards the end of the instrumental section between ‘She Came In Thru The Bathroom Window’ and ‘Polythene Pam ‘ on the huge medley outtake (may be two parts or even individual tracks depending on how its been split) which is available on bootlegs.

I was wondering if someone could pinpoint the location in While My Guitar Gently Weeps that’s used in Lady Madonna . I know it’s in that song, I just can never find it.

It’s in the “Hey Bulldog ” bit in the middle of Lady Madonna . You should be hearing fragments of Clapton’s guitar solo from Gently Weeps played, albeit slowed down a bit.
