I can't wait to own this albums, I've got to save the cash, and than get it off Amazon, because of my small town.                                             a-hard-days-night-paul-1a-hard-days-night-paul-3a-hard-days-night-john-2a-hard-days-night-ringo-14a-hard-days-night-paul-10a-hard-days-night-ringo-12a-hard-days-night-ringo-7a-hard-days-night-george-5

…but anyways, I was just wondering if they're were any songs I need to here of this album, i.e. Your favorite?

When I Twish And Shout, it makes the Girl say "What Goes On?", and than I say, "I do this Here, There and Everywhere", and than she finishes by saying "Honey Don't".

That's definitely a good pick.

Bringing you the best and worst of The Beatles, since 2007.

That is a good one. There is a lot of great stuff on LATBBC. I like the covers of Elvis' That's Alright Mama and the Miracles' You Really Got A Hold On Me . John kinda flubs the first 2 chorus' (or is it chori) on YRGAHOM and it's funny listening to Paul start to harmonize on them and suddenly stop when he hears John sing the wrong lines.

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

I love the songs, but my favorite part of those albums are the speeches.

I almost said that one as well. I like the video footage of them performing that song at the Cavern on the Anthology DVD.

Yes, it was quite intense.  I believe I remember seeing that on the “Compleat Beatles” documentary in the early 80s.

Mhh that documentary. I know sometimes there's never “I've got enough Beatles memorabilia” but if I have already the Anthology, is it worth buying this? (Because it's quite expensive)

Is it like 30$ or 40$, i'm looking to have it ordered in, but I'm not sure if it would be worth it.

Like The Who Sell Out would probably be better, and it's only 10$.

When I Twish And Shout, it makes the Girl say "What Goes On?", and than I say, "I do this Here, There and Everywhere", and than she finishes by saying "Honey Don't".

Thanks for the link – I may have to get this one if only for the interviews of all mentioned in the article.
By the way, on the 'wiki' web page you link to, the following quote from Marianne Faithful made me gasp…

“At the moment they were being given a philosophy in which they could live their lives as individuals, at that very second, Brian Epstein died. The one who wanted them to be as a group.”

Some of the people interviewed in The Compleat Beatles were not in the Anthology.  I figure this would be a good “companion” piece.  I don't think it's on DVD though.  Yeah, that Marianne quote chokes me up too.

  • Johnny B. Goode
  • Clarabella
  • Lucille , as a tribute to the Everlys lol
  • I Just Don’t Understand
  • Honey Don’t
  • Some Other Guy
  • Sure to Fall in Love With You

Every time I hear ‘I Forgot To Remember To Forget’, I smile from ear-to-ear.ahdn_george_06

This album gets a lot of play in my house.

I love the bbc sessions so have many a favourite off this album, heck nearly all. The ones that immediately come to mind:

The Honeymoon Song

Sweet Little Sixteen

Rock And Roll Music (John shouting)

Keep Your Hands Off My Baby

Youngblood (didnt like it for a long time but now its so much fun with Georges thick Liverpool accent and John and Paul messing about with voices)

Sure To Fall (In Love With You) (a beautiful beautiful 50 odd second guitar solo by George, lay me down, play that and i’ll be there for a good 10 mins in unblemished bliss)

Memphis, Tennessee

I Forgot To Remember To Forget (a real highlight)

Honey Don’t (John on lead vocal – dont make me choose between him and Ringo)

Glad All Over

Nothin’ Shakin’

I Just Dont Understand

I Got A Woman (tho the other performance i prefer)

I’ll Be On My Way

Soldier of Love (should have been the single off the album)

Im Gonna Sit Right Down and Cry (Over You)

Johnny B Goode

I should stop there otherwise the whole album would be up here. Yes ive missed obvious ones out (You Really Got A Hold On Me , Too Know Her Is To Love Her). And so many others were left off – where was Tie Me Kangeroo Down Sport with Rolf Harris?

And a special mention for “Set Fire To That Lot”, ive heard it about an thousand times and still it gets me laughing.
