Let It Be is a somewhat controversial album. It should be appreciated for what it is: a project that was more or less successful, but still showcasing talented songwriters. Paul did his best (perhaps too much at times) to keep the band together, but John and George were already moving in different directions. The cheezy production by Phil Spector will not be addressed.

A great melody, beautiful piano, and moving lyrics. The solo by George is also a nice touch. Paul at his best. A top masterpiece.Across The Universe (A)

A nice track that blends a waltz with rock. For You Blue (C)
A gentle blues song by George. Good, but not particularly memorable. One After 909 (C)
A basic Rock 'N' Roll track. Fun, but not especially memorable.Maggie Mae (D)

A jam that primarily serves to fill out the album.
