No, seriously, this is serious!!!!
WE'RE GETTING SOMETHING!!!!!
This is the interesting one though. So far it's been Giles remixes George, but here, if with this we get a straight remix by Giles of the original album, it will be Giles remixing Phil Spector.
We already know we're getting films next year but how will they, and should they, handle the music, and what should it include?

Which one? There are two different versions.
I want a disc of Glyn Johns' mixes, one of his four attempts at the Get Back album, with mixes from the other three filling the space.
We already officially have Because You Know I Love You So (aka Woke Up in the Morning) up to the breakdown and them joking about it on Fly on the Wall, they then do a wonderful complete version.
The country blues jam from the 31st which included Five Feet High and Rising, Bear Cat Mama, Black Dog and Right String, Wrong Yo-Yo. Interesting and essential as Black Dog is the base for Crippled Inside .
The Beatles doing Gimme Some Truth before we really knew Tricky Dicky.
So many choices...

This is a good place for getting a good idea of how much we have for January 1969, @CakeMaestor.

Wouldn't mono just be a fold-down?
If we're talking about the original mix but i think Giles could do a true mono mix that really lets the songs shine.
But why, @Dark Overlord? The Beatles had moved to recording with stereo in mind, not mono. It's like suggesting you'd like a mono mix of Egypt Station or Double Fantasy .

The Get Back sessions were about The Beatles going back to their roots, of which were meant to be listened to in mono.
If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

I'd like to hear an electric "Two Of Us ", and the heavy-rock version of "Get Back " with j&p singing lead in unison. Also wouldn't mind the Scottish-accented and Deutsche variations of those two.
A few things I'd appreciate, that have little chance of actually appearing, would be "The Palace of the King of the Birds" instrumental, and the Georgeless riffing-with-Yoko jam. "I've Told You Before, Get Out of My Door" is hardly a song, but I love that groove and the guitar part. "Old Brown Shoe " rehearsal is full of mistakes, but fun to hear Ringo messing with the beat. And didn't Billy sing lead on a track or two? I'd be interested in that.
One day, a tape-op got a tape on backwards, he went to play it, and it was all "Neeeradno-undowarrroom" and it was "Wow! Sounds Indian!"

I'll add Suzy Parker to my list, and an unedited Rip It Up/Shake, Rattle And Roll/Blue Suede Shoes from the 26th. There's quite a lot from the original film that didn't make the album.

The 'Fly On The Wall' disc is the most pointless disc ever released by Apple and I doubt they will ever manage to put something out that is more so. 'Let It Be Naked' was a complete bullshit exercise designed to fool us into believing that what we were given was something else entirely. Hopefully in 2020 Apple will finally put both of these to the side and give us what we have always craved.
Would be surprised if we get much from Twickenham but a rocking early 'Two of Us' would be a must, 'Suzy Parker's should also be included and 'Love Me Do '; it's not a great version but it would bring everything full circle. To be honest I'd be happy with one of the original albums untouched, some of the oldies (so fixing the edits on 'Anthology 3 for a start, the basic recordings that gave us the final released tracks, and the rooftop concert on CD (as well as on DVD/Blu-Ray). To be honest I could sit here for about 20 minutes and come up with four discs without going into great depth. Personally I'd love Apple to shove on 'House of the Rising Sun' and 'Rock And Roll Music ' where the Beatles are clearly taking the piss and the original "No Pakistanis" version of 'Get Back , but I think Apple would rightly fear a hell of a lot of criticism and wrongly-placed attention from those who like to get annoyed.

I'm not so sure. One of the reasons given for the non-appearance of the film back in 2003 was the recovery of the original Nagra tapes. We've already seen Giles separating elements recorded on the same track, so I think how much Twickenham we get will depend on what tricks and magic he's able to do with the Nagra only recordings.

Maybe.
The band versions of ‘ATMP ’ were done at Twickenham so there is something else to add from there.
Putting it down as “which tricks and magic he’s able to do” gives me the fear with images of newly created outtakes from the sessions. It’s probably miles off from the reality but I’m still getting used to Apple being competent.

Especially with Let It Be . No true mono mix exists.

I'll be keeping my eye on this thread for any revelations, but Apple could put out a 20-disc CD and Blu-ray set of Let It Be and I wouldn't be half as excited for it as I am for the Abbey Road box. The LIB /GB sessions were tense, the output was poor and the album itself only barely qualifies as a real Beatles album (to me).
Of course I'll buy it, but mainly as a show of support and to hopefully encourage Apple to continue with Rubber Soul and Revolver (at least!) box sets.
