Maybe Shell paid somebody for them to put it on there, because The Beatles were pretty big, and Shell knew it, so that was their way of advertising themselves, probably.

It was actually a 1979 reissue. The 1965 version was the conventional UK one. The Shell cover was a publicity sleeve for the Dutch company Shell, but wasn't a promo - it was also released in '79 in Sweden.
