Hello All,
The Copy Control System on the “Fly On The Wall” Bonus Disc of LIB …N upset me a little and may have driven me a little crazy. I took it upon myself to identify, separate, name, and list the different segments/tracks on the disc. Below is what I came up with:
Track Number | Track Title | Start Time – End Time | Duration |

In an effort to reduce the number of tracks, I did not separate the different conversations of the spoken word segments into separate tracks. I took the liberty to (at least try to) pull quotes from the spoken word segments to name those tracks in the same vein as “Live At The BBC ”. All durations are rounded UP to the nearest second.
I did have a tough time with tracks 36/37 in which I struggled with the decision of including the “Hark!” intro with track 37 or track 36 (where it appears on LIB and subsequently this as well).
Other than a complete waste of time, what do you think?

Thanks for the kind words.
meanmistermustard – I hadn’t even heard of DDSI before your reply and I agree that the inclusion of such numbers would have been a nice addition. Being that this was originally a personal pet project of mine (in order to avoid an unnecessary 22 minute track on my iTunes), I hadn’t done that research.
Upon looking up DDSI, I found a page that lists the Fly On The Wall tracks (with their own titles/durations) that assigned each segment a GB number (the 1997 edition). It hasn’t been updated to the new DDSI numbers, but if you’re still curious they are fairly interesting. I’m not sure if I can post links, but here: http://www.jpgr.co.uk/a5954380.html
I was a little obsessive/compulsive in regards to just breaking it up so it only took a couple days (a few hours a day) to complete. The most time consuming bit was trying to pull good quotes/titles for the spoken word segments.
IveJustSeenAFaceo – Thanks for the praise.

I split Fly On The Wall up a while ago into the tracks that are listed on the back. I used the LIB …N Wikipedia page for reference of some of the time-stamps, but manually adjusted them to fit. I did it for the same reasons @Sarge Pepper did it. Tell me what you think.

Probably listened to this 3 times since it’s release. Too long!
Why do you think we’re breaking it into tracks. Actually as an album it’s really not that long. It’s only like 21 minutes.

Stupid question probably, but how/where can you get that fly on the wall stuff?
It’s a bonus disc on LIB …Naked. If you hurt around you’ll probably find an MP3 or something somewhere online.

One major problem is that as soon as a section begins to get interesting it jumps elsewhere.
Another is that its an entirely pointless release.

I think I’d rate FOTW as the worst Beatles (As a band or solo) release ever.

I would say Fly On The Wall is maybe the most pointless Beatles release.
Why Apple couldn’t release a bonus disc with full versions of the songs and snippets of banter is beyond me.
It would have made for a much more enjoyable listen I think.

Every time I see this thread I think it’s about the Miley Cyrus song, but then I remember the bonus disk that came with Let It Be … Naked and then I get disappointed that it’s not about the Miley Cyrus song (which is way better than The Beatles’ Fly On The Wall).
I listened to part of it when I first got LIBN way back in 2011, but I wasn’t interested enough to ever revisit it.

Does anyone know the day when any of these songs or conversations were recorded on “Fly on the Wall?” I would like to listen to them in chronological order along with the other released songs from Let it Be and Let it Be…Naked.
Beatles Bible cites the following two dates:
Taking a Trip to Carolina, January 3
Fancy Me Chances with You, January 24

26 January 2017
You won’t regret seeking out the tracklist for January 1969 Twickenham and Apple Studios, or A/B road, which has the compelete rehearsals for the month of January ordered and labelled.
Its a fecking marathon of listen but it goes deep and is very interesting. Took me a couple of weeks of listening to nothing else to get through.
The advantage of doing this is that you can find a certain song or day that you like and hear everything else that they did, as opposed to the album just skipping to another random selection.
I’ll try at the end of this week to match my Fly On The Wall with A/B road tracks to try and give you some actual dates as you asked.
