I find that personally offensive, outside of YS the worst Beatles album is Beatles For Sale but it’s still a good album.
I find it personally offensive that anybody would enjoy Girl or Run For Your Life . They ruin the album for me.

Those two songs sound nice. It is kinda like enjoying a horror movie or something. Horror songs.

Run For Your Life deserves the reputation it has, sure, but Girl? I like that one!
it’s like John’s equivalent to Michelle on that album, love the whole European thing those two have going on
anyways, back on topic here,
my favourite albums of theirs are Revolver , The White Album and Magical Mystery Tour
my least favourite album of theirs is With The Beatles

I didn’t like the song for a while, Run For Your Life , that is. But the melody is great, and the ending refrain is really catchy. John is singing from a genuine place with the lyrics. It’s an ugly place but it’s a real one. People aren’t necessarily going to literally kill another person, it’s more about how they’re feeling.
1.The Beatles 2.Sgt. Pepper 3.Abbey Road 4.Magical Mystery Tour 5.Rubber Soul 6.Revolver 7.Help! 8.Let It Be
9.A Hard Day’s Night 10.Please Please Me 11.Beatles For Sale 12.With The Beatles 13.Yellow Submarine

I liked them when I was younger, but I can’t listen to either of them now. They disturb me. The same thing has happened with horror movies. Baby me loved scary movies, but now that I’m old, they really don’t interest me.

Knowing the things he was doing while he had a wife and child at home makes me dislike it even more. He had no right to even have those feelings. And the genuine place he’s singing from is him being an abuser, which for me, takes away any potential good qualities the song may have.

I don’t get why do people take what John is singing in “Run For Your Life ” as something he would do literally in real life, do that people also think that he lived with eyes closed? or that he was a walrus? to me it’s like if people hate Michael Pitt becasue in “Funny Games” he kills a family… movies and songs, you know…nothing is real….
Anyway , my fav Beatles album is Please Please Me , because it is their first one, it’s just them (with a little help from GM) and their instruments and vocals, it has great songs on it, it has a lot of energy and was recorded in one go mostly.
My least favourite is Beatles For Sale

I have no issue with ‘RFYL’, if you start going down that line you’re going to be removing a whole deluge of tracks from your listening habits. Is ‘RFYL’ any better than ‘YCDT’ which is a just as much a statement of intent from John? It can be argued ‘IGY’ is bordering on obsession and what about ‘IWY (SSH)’? If they sound nicer does it make them more palatable?
‘Girl’ is a masterpiece. Resigned acceptance of being with a girl who you know is no good for you or that nice a person but it really doesn’t matter.

Really only Run For Your Life and Girl are the only ones I won’t listen to. I don’t particularly like You Can’t Do That , but I’ll listen to it. I’ll Get You and I Want You aren’t aggressive, but I Want You goes on for far too long. It irritates me sometimes. I can pick and choose what songs bother me and what doesn’t.
