John looks pretty regal on the cover ūüėĬ†

Jokes apart, I'd say Ringo. His drumming is sublime in AR. And I love Octopus's Garden ...it's my favourite Beatle song of the week (whatever that means). It's as innovate and witty as it gets.. I mean, tell me who the hell would've thought about writing about an Octopus inviting you to his garden.. Genius! ūüėÄ

And much as I love Something and HCTS, I don't think they are George's best songs. It will always be While My Guitar Gently Weeps for me. It's as close to perfection as a song can get.

I thought the same thing, but of course we're all about acceptance of diverse opinion around here.  I might even accept a deprecatory opinion of "George's Imagine ," but I'm not familiar with it.a-hard-days-night-george-10

I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

I know I know.....But I think many have had enough of Yesterday ........I gave Something a 7 in the poll. I can see it's merits but if I didn't hear it or Yesterday or Imagine again....I'd be sad but not distraught.

I'm glad they are in the world though and all three giving millions of people enjoyment.

Having said that, I recall I enjoy playing Something on the Uke........I'm so confused.

All of them were great as a unit knowing how deteriorated their relationship and unity was at that time, they all gave their best and managed to gather a wonderful bunch of sounds and songs together.

Imo

George. Something and Here Comes The Sun are my favorite songs on the album.

I think Abbey Road is the only album where the best songs are from George and Ringo. Octopus's Garden is such a great tune.

Paul is good on the album but I think John has a very weak showing. I mean ya Come Together is neat but I Want You, while having that cool ending is just not a song I like very much in comparison to the rest of the album.

Paul did very well in the last few tracks of The Medley, but he also had Maxwell's Silver Hammer .

Lennon's contributions on The Medley were mixed but he had great Come Together and She's So Heavy.

George had 2 of the best tracks on the album, so I'm going with George.

Ooh, tough one. I love the Meledy Paul put together as long as Maxwells Silver Hammer, George's songs, Ringo's song and solo drumming on The End , and John's songs Come Together and I Want You (She's So Heavy). I think it is George. I think during the recording sessions, George was at one of his best moments for songwriting and singing. Something became one of the best love songs of all time, Here Comes The Sun is still (somewhat) popular during this day and age.

Paul's work was great, the meledy is an awesome string of songs, that are basically "stringed together" in a way, if you know why I mean. I like Maxwell's Silver Hammer , but I feel it is generally hated very much. Johns was fabulous, though the only one I really really enjoy is I Want You (She's So Heavy). Even Ringos contributions with Octopus's Garden and the solo he was pushed to do in The End are amazing.

I'd take 'Maxwell' over 'Oh! Darling ' any day.

I'd say George and Paul are tied. Paul did the most... George did the best.

I think George and Paul's contributions to the album are pretty much of equal quality. But... the album wouldn't have existed if Paul hadn't coaxed them into doing a proper swan song, and therefore he wins IMHO

My vote goes to George. The guitar playing on this album is magnificent, I think he really was at his peak as a lead player here. The lead lines that come in through the medley and throughout the entire album are perfect. I think of the small licks in YNGYM and I get chills. He was tasteful and had great tone and I feel like his playing really progressed each album and finally fully blossomed here. Oh yeah, he wrote two timeless songs for this album as well so that counts for a lot!

I think all the members were on top form for this album.

Ringo - his drumming isn't quite on his 1967 level, but it's still great, especially on The End and Something . Also, Octopus's Garden is the best of his 2 songs.

George - His playing is fantastic all over the album, and his tones are the best in his career. His two songs are also both in his top 3.

Paul - His individual songs aren't that great, but his singing and bass are phenomenal throughout the album. Plus he contributed the medley, which is probably the best thing they ever did.

John - He knocks it out of the park on his two rockers, plus Sun King and Becase are both awesome. He plays some great guitar too.

Half of what I say is meaningless
