I agree that The Beatles voices are some of the most wonderful sounds ever. It’s a shame they didn’t do the voice acting. On a related note, when I was little, there was a children’s show called Thomas and Friends, and the UK version’s first

…The Simpsons are kind of the same as in the films in a way. Ringo probably had the most lines if I remember rightly, Paul and Linda are good plus they have a jam with Apu, and George has a brief but memorable part in his episode.

…Yes! Sometimes when I'm bored I'll find the movie on YouTube and fast forward to the interview scene and just watch that. I love his reaction when they take the microphone out of his hand.

…none of The Beatles were fantastic actors they could all do what was required of them. I think Ringo gets my vote becasue he probably has the biggest range. He can be funny and he can be sad.

A great scene. I've always found it simultaneously funny and…

I wonder how they filmed that one...

I always figured George's fall was planned, but sometimes I wonder if Ringo's was...

That's a good question! It seems like something they would plan, then again...

…was listening to the Beatles Channel yesterday, and they were playing the results of the "Greatest Hits from the Later Years" poll. I was thrilled to discover that three of the top six songs are George…

…songs!

This is what I heard:

1. A Day In The Life

2. Hey Jude

3. While My Guitar Gently Weeps

4. Let It Be

5. Here Comes The Sun

6. Something

The George songs also happen to be in my order…

…of preference, and two of the ones I voted for (Hey Jude
and While My Guitar Gently Weeps
) ended up in the top ten.

This station is the best!

…liked the contrast between eager pup Paul and nonchalent Ringo, John and George in both movies. They were good fun.

P.S. There's this one thing they do where they say "Ringo's bass drum pedal squeaks all through All I've Got To Do
" and then they play it and I've never heard any squeaking. Am I deaf?

A lot of the early songs has a squeaky kick pedal. I'm not on my computer right now to

Yes. Help
has more funny lines than AHDN
, but AHDN
's screenplay is so much better. The Beatles' acting was better too... probably because they hadn't discovered marijuana yet

True. I've probably been more influenced by AHDN
. But the  "famous" jokes never get old. Repeat random

…In My Life
is always second or third, A Day In The Life
is always first, Here Comes The Sun
is always between five and ten... I don't know why they bother doing "All Together Now
Two" when everyone votes for the exact same things they did the time before.

Also, George Harrison
's solo music…

…is way underplayed. They play like one George song for every three or four Paul and John songs. Also, they always seem to be playing the same ones.

I love this channel, though!

He always does seem to have the longest lines though...

Honestly it can be hard to tell how much is acting and how much is just them because they play themselves in all their movies. But Paul sounds more scripted than the others.

…cast is great as well.

2. Help

I think this film is a good spoof of the spy genre and even though The Beatles were stoned for the filming they still do a decent enough job as well.

3. Yellow Submarine

I love the animation, story and the songs in this film but I wish The Beatles

…There are references to both Paul and John's mums which struck me as odd, as obviously both their mums had passed before this film was made. I know they are not playing "themselves" in the film, but characters in a band, but it still struck me as insensitive and a bit sad that the two characters who
