Sir Paul McCartney performed the first of two concerts at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was the penultimate show of his Up And Coming Tour.
Construction of the venue was completed on 1 August 2010, and McCartney was the opening performance. Demand for tickets was so great that the concert sold out within five minutes, leading to a second show being scheduled.
Here’s the performance of Venus And Mars/Rock Show and Jet from the show:
During the show he signed the shoulder of a fan, Alvita Akiboh. She had held up a sign saying “Please sign my blackbird tattoo” and was brought onto the stage before the final performance of Sgt Pepper (Reprise)/The End. Alvita had a tattoo made of the signature after the concert.
