Recording: Thanks For The Pepperoni, Plug Me In by George Harrison

Studio Three, EMI Studios, Abbey Road
Producers: George Harrison, Phil Spector
Engineers: Phil McDonald, John Leckie

Although this was not a scheduled George Harrison session, two pieces of music from this day appeared on his third solo album All Things Must Pass.

The members of Derek and the Dominos had worked on the album sessions in May and June 1970. In return for their contributions, Phil Spector agreed to produce two songs for the band. Recorded on this day were ‘Tell The Truth’ and ‘Roll It Over’, which were released as their debut single later in 1970. Harrison played guitar on the recordings.

A series of jams were recorded towards the end of the session. They were later edited and released on All Things Must Pass as ‘Thanks For The Pepperoni’ and ‘Plug Me In’.
