On 22 April 1969, John Lennon and Yoko Ono had recorded John And Yoko, which filled side one of their Wedding Album.
The track had been mixed at the end of the session, and again on 26 April, but Lennon and Ono evidently found these satisfactory and the heartbeats on the track were re-recorded on 27 April.
A third mixing session took place on this day, during which the final mix was made. It took place from 7-10.45pm in the control room of Studio Three, and was overseen by balance engineer Jeff Jarratt.
