On the day that the front cover photograph for their second album With The Beatles was taken by Robert Freeman, the group recorded an appearance on the TV show Day By Day.
The Beatles mimed to ‘She Loves You’ at the Southern Independent Television Centre in Northam, Southampton. The performance was broadcast later that evening between 5.55 and 6.40pm. Day By Day was a news magazine show shown in the south of England.
The Beatles were accompanied by Freeman for the journey to Southampton. After the filming was complete they returned to Bournemouth, where the group performed that evening at the Gaumont Cinema.
