This was The Beatles’ fifth and final appearance at the Plaza Ballroom in St Helens, Lancashire. They had first performed there on 25 June 1962.
This was the first time The Beatles were paid £100 for a performance. As an indication of how far they had come in less than a year, they were paid just £25 for their first show at the venue.
