I'm new, obviously but have decided to give my 2cents.

Personally I am not a fan of Julia Lennon.

As for the gfs/wives my list is

1. Olivia Harrison-she saved his life and anyone that can produce a work of art like Dhani is cool with me

2. Linda

3. Barbara Bach

4. Yoko Ono-I admire her for her guts and determination to never conform.

I never liked Jane Asher though I do like that she refused to stay at home like Paul wanted, and Patti Boyd was all kinds of beautiful!

I think Linda had the most solid combination of making Paul happy and not interfering The Beatles' studio work (asides from maybe trying to get him to make her brother their manager). I personally like Cynthia, Linda, and Olivia the most.

Oh, and I'd totally tap that 64 year old ass.

I agree with you Joe, but I just think that Cynthia herself is that kind of a person, maybe a bit too polite. She made it very clear in the book that she likes to avoid confrontation at all times, so maybe that's what her mindset was when she wrote the book. She wanted to avoid confrontation with herself.

Hello this is my first post so please go easy on me x

My favourite Beatle girl is without doubt Linda, im a massive fan of hers even without any Beatle connection.

As a life long vege, i never had much variety of food until Linda brought out her food range (a long time before Quorn etc,) There must be thousands of veges that without her would of given in.

I have mixed feelings about Yoko, i love that she made John so happy and helped him to express his innermost feelings. However it does get on my nerves when watching ...

I've read them both, though I haven't had a copy of A Twist Of Lennon for many years and can't remember too much about it.

In the introduction to John I think she says she wrote the book because she didn't have the courage to say certain things when writing the first book, and time had given her perspective on events. I think the second book was less emotional, more subjective, and Cynthia wasn't trying to put so much of a spin on events. She seems prepared to confront the bad stuff.

That said, I don't think it's a particularly riveting read. ...

Well the memoirs were written like 30 years apart, so that should tell you right there that she didn't just write them for the money. If she were in it for money, we'd have a whole installment. I haven't read the first one, but if I had to guess I would say it's probably a bit more bitter because it was written before John was murdered and just about a decade after he left her. A few things
1. Yes Maureen Starkey did retain the last name and yes Yoko is Yoko Ono Lennon so there
2. What was added from Memoir #1 to Memoir #2 (just wondering)
3. She did seem to be very helpful in somewhat reconnecting John and Julian
Finally 4. Did Lennon need to cheat on Chynthia with Yoko so much? It reaks of Overkill

I alwaysed liked Jane the best. Mostly because she was an inependant women and even though she was the girlfriend of Paul McCartney it seemed she never let it get to her head. I do respect Jane for keeping silent on her memories of being with Paul, but if she ever puts out a book, I'm definatly reading it. But I may also like Jane because I'm a fellow redhead. But I know it's mostly for her personality not looks.
