Now that I think of it, I think he could just be picking with us. I could be wrong though.

I don't think he did use some of the words I used, no. But I felt quite offended that he was basically implying that we weren't capable of holding that particular conversation with him, that it was somehow beyond us.

I know he apologised as well, but only to you LHL. I didn't comment at the time because I only looked at that thread for the first time today. I also got the feeling that he was only apologising because you picked up on what he said.

I'm not looking for an argument here, my head aches and it's getting late. I'm fed up of being discarded though simply because of either my age (usually this) or my apparent inability to hold any form of ''serious'' conversation. I go to school where the teachers assume you're all the same, so I get it a lot, and I'm a bit fed up of it.

I don't believe he ever said we were shallow. It did seem like he was insinuating that, but he just posted on this thread himself, so I doubt he really has that much of a problem with it.

Correct. I never said anyone is shallow.  But I did apologize for the way my comment came across.  And you can all stop posting because John is the best looking Beatle.

I know you are deep because you meditate and you love George Harrison.  I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings.  I was just upset that I posted something and everyone seemed to be attacking me because of it.

Okay, we both probably overreacted a little bit. I get that whole shit at school, and here has become the only place where I can go and be considered as an equal. I hope I haven't put you off saying whatever you want to say in future apple01apple01

I came here because I love The Beatles and hoped to find some really nice people who also love The Beatles.  Other forums on the Internet are not always so friendly.

^^^ Me, too. I've been on various other forums (not all for The Beatles) and things can often get quite nasty just for the sake of it, rather than because there is an argument to be had. I just felt like I needed to say what I did.

Like I said, I hope you don't come on here less because of me, we all tend to be quite nice here apple01

Oh God don't even get me started on other forums. Used to be on one where the majority consisted of teenage twits that behaved like 6 year olds.

I was on one way worse than that that consisted of cyber-bullies who targeted people who disagreed with their political and religious views.  And it was a music forum.

The only board I really looked into was DMBeatles.com. It was ok, but there were several people jumping down each other throats, so I didn't join. The other problem with that board and other boards is that most them are inactive.

I belong to a fanfic and news board but this is the only general Beatle discussion board I belong to. I also checked other boards and they seemed largely inactive.

Ringo being adorable:

"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been..  I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene..  Banjos!  Banjos!  All the time, I can't forget that tune..  and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

^ Kind of on topic, I watched 'Wings Over The World' last night. I never realised how attractive Denny Laine was!

Anyway, here are some pictures I found that I liked:

Ok, I'm bored, so time for a revival.

How did Jane not jump his bones 24/7 in Rishikesh?

Me thinks this is the pink jacket from mad day out?

heart

I'm really more about the 70's, early 80's Paul these days...  although I will take Paul at any age.

Is it nessesary for him to smoke like that?  I don't even mind the mullet anymore.  I guess I just had to "mullet" over?   ahdn_paul_01
