OfflineI've always been curious to know whatever became of those fans (Girls/Boys) from the early film clips at the Cavarn, Shea Stadium, etc. During the making of 'Stardust', David Essex film circa 1973, there are clips which were of the original Beatle fans at the early gigs, or sometimes in T.V. studios. A couple of years ago, a high street bank also used similar clips,so the people who originally featured in them must have been seen by more people in the world than most. But where are they now???
Probably going about their normal lives, boring their grandchildren with stories about "the time I saw The Beatles, you know"
There's one clip of The Beatles doing Some Other Guy at the Cavern, just after Ringo joined. Afterwards someone shouts out "We want Pete!" I'd love to know who that was.

OfflineOne of the groundsmen at my high school said he went to two Beatles concerts in New Zealand. He seemed to be bragging but when I asked him if they were any good he said no, he couldn't hear a thing! It's a shame they were around just before stadium rock really took off, they could have been a great live band – they should have asserted themselves as performers more to Brian Epstein, made him yield to their wants.

You mean if they had proper sound equipment? Brian couldn't control the screams.
I mean they shouldn't have let Brian Epstein give them such a hectic schedule. They should have played fewer concerts and made each concert longer. Plus, yeah, they should have got better sound equipment.
I've written articles on the June 1964 Australia/NZ tour, which can be found via the Beatles history page: http://www.beatlesbible.com/history/
If you see speak to the groundsman again, could you invite him to add his memories of the concerts as comments on the relevant pages? I'd love to have first-hand recollections of any Beatles concerts.
FWIW the Beatles didn't enjoy their trip to New Zealand. I think the local police gave them a bit of a rough ride by refusing to provide enough protection. They slagged off the country a fair bit in Anthology.

I'd love to but I finished school last year. My sister still goes there so I guess I could see him one day if I ever have to pick her up myself.
