A great new book, Treasures Of The Beatles by Terry Burrows, was recently published by Carlton Books. I was sent a review copy and genuinely liked it a lot (I'm not paid to say this btw).

I posted a review here: beatlesbible.com/books/treasures-of-the-beatles-terry-burrows/

Carlton have offered me five copies as competition prizes, to give away via the site. Unfortunately it's only open to those with UK addresses (the book is pretty big, and it would cost a lot to ship overseas). Anyway, click on the above link to enter – it's open until Sunday 6 December.

UGH! You lucky Europeans!
Good luck to everyone that enters! I hope to see a contest open to Canadians too one day, haha~

Yeah, sorry about that. Carlton have agreed to handle all the postage, but in addition to giving away five copies of the book (which is generous enough in itself) they preferred not to incur worldwide shipping costs.

It's the first competition I've run on the site, but I'd like to run more in future. Hopefully more record companies or publishers will get in touch and offer prizes – the response to this one in the first 24 hours has been pretty good.

Thank you Alissa and Skye. I can appreciate what Joe said about the overseas postage. The book weighs a ton and cost nearly £5 to send it to me in the UK!

I've brought it to work with me today so I can have a good read…………..ahem………….well it is 'nearly' Christmas and things are quiet Laugh

Congratulations on the win! There was no favouritism – I picked the names at random from the list of successful entrants.

I hope you enjoyed the book. I thought it was pretty good, though the flyers, tickets stubs etc are what makes it more than just a standard biog.

Thanks Joe.

I agree about the little inserts.  You could fool some people into thinking they were genuine autographs!
