Penny Lane , thanks! When is that from and who is singing? It sorta sounds like Petty, but not really.

I think that was from the concert when George was inducted into the RockNRoll Hall of Fame.

Yeah it's from George's induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. Tom petty, Jeff Lynne, Dhani, and Steve Winwood (of the band Traffic) performed a couple of his songs. Prince came out to perform this song. He was inducted at the same time.

Amazing isn't it?heart

I’ve not seen that WMGGW vid for ages. I was a huge Prince fan in my younger days, and still love his 80s stuff, up to and including Lovesexy. Brilliant musician.

Side note: Prince hates YouTube and gets his stuff taken off there, but when he appears on other people’s recordings he’s powerless to stop it. It’s a shame, because it’s easy to forget what an amazing performer he is. I’d love to see him live someday.

Who’s the guy doing Eric Clapton’s solo?

Can buy me love! Please consider supporting the Beatles Bible on Amazon
Or buy my paperback/ebook! Riding So High – The Beatles and Drugs

Don't miss The Bowie Bible – now live!

Steve Ferrone from Average White Band according to Wikipedia. If you want to see Prince on youtube, you have to be willing to watch him with his voice altered. Thats how I ended up watching his Superbowl performance. But he is definitely an amazing performer.

The English band Mumford & Sons did a cover of Golden Slumbers /Carry That Weight that was really good. There's banjo in it which made it a little more country but it fit well with their version and style.

I saw him live on his last tour of his old stuff… the BEST stuff!!! He gave everyone in the audience his new CD, Musicology. One of my favorite concerts ever, definitely second to Sir Paul. Oh man when was that? Late teens so….  around 2003 maybe? He's not like he used to be live, before he converted. I am SO lucky to have seen him before, no one will ever see him like he used to be, I remember it so vividly. heartheart

When are you free to take some tea with me?

Steve Ferrone is a drummer.

I guess his name is Marc Mann.

See the lies of Wikipedia. Thanks for correcting it.

As a person who doesn't like Eleanor Rigby , I found this one really interesting. The hard rock feel gives it a new edge. I've seen the move Accepted a couple of times before, but it wasn't until like 5 minutes did I know this song was used in the movie.

It took me a bit to realize what I was hearing too, but it certainly increases the cuteness factor. brian-epstein

Personally, this is my preferred ADITL cover:

Edit: Yes Neil Young looks scary.

I like both of these AiTL versions. The aahhhs in Neil Young's are awesome and he plays it with the passion and madness the song requires. Brilliant.
