I'v seen some real junk, but this probably takes the cake: http://www.jesus-is-savior.com…..eatles.htm

Apparently the Beatles were hardcore satanists who sold their soul to the devil to become famous. Even better: They also performed rituals and human sacrifice, aswell as being communists. ''The Beatles praised Communist leaders, promoted illegal drug usage, defiled themselves in backstage sex orgies, and glorified sin with their music.''

Thoughts anyone?

On a side note, how much you want to bet, that his parents were one of the ones who burned Beatles albums after John's comment about Jesus?

Strictly speaking, in Christian doctrine, anything that hinders your way to the Gospel is "Satan" (cf. Matthew 6:23).  Anything could conceivably have that function.

Most popular culture to the extent that it keeps people's minds distracted and consumed, and also to the extent that it provides a world view whereby the consumer feels they don't really need anything transcendent or eschatological to complete their life other than what modern popular culture provides (which would include technology for physical suffering (medicine) and technology for pleasant diversions and enjoyment and for making other aspects of life easier so that enjoyment is facilitated), could be interpreted as not merely a potential hindrance to the Gospel, but as an influential competitor.

On the other hand, many modern secularist Christians in the modern West have come to terms with popular culture long ago, and see the two as easily harmonizable (though the Christians who would criticize this as being way too glib and easy have a point).

I've seen this posted in the comments section on yt soo many times. I did go on it once, just out of curiosity. I laughed a lot.

''We're just knocked out. We heard about the sell out. You gotta get an album out, you owe it to the people. We're so happy we can hardly count.''

Piss off, big pile of horse poo.

Supposedly Revelation 9:7-9 could refer to the Beatles (Revelation 9 -> Revolution 9):

The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces. Their hair was like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth. They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle.

however that whole book has been interpreted 90 billion ways. Wasn't this the kind of stuff that Manson took as some sign for what he did along with the White Album lyrics?

"Well, probably we'll sell less records, less people'll go to see the film, we'll write less songs, and we'll all die of failure" (John Lennon 8/64)

Well, John Lennon did actually say to Pete Shotton that he'd sold his soul to the devil.  But I think that was taken as a figure of speech.

…as in 99% of the times that figure of speech is used.

Of course they were Satanists. I'm a Satanist too. Who doesn't like a good old orgy and some sin? Just kidding. Still lolling over this, some people just have too much time on their hands.

And John claimed to be Jesus Christ in 1968, so…

Paul also said "the Beatles weren't communists…we were the ultimate capitalists!" so there's that a-hard-days-night-paul-5

Around 1966 methinks, and the Beatles were ultimate capitalists who hate taxes, George specially ahdn_george_06

I'm not referring to his comments about them being "bigger than Jesus," which was indeed in 1966. I'm referring to the incident toward the end of 1968 when he went on a massive drug binge and called an emergency meeting at Apple to announce to everyone that he was himself Jesus Christ.

Dr. Beatle is right. John went on a massive drug binge at Friar Park where he came to the "realization" he was Jesus Christ. He told Pete Shotten, and then called the meeting at Apple to tell everyone else.

"And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make."

Yes my bad, let my post be a post of shame. I have probably misread the sentence or might have forgotten about that incident.

Now THAT'S funny.

Yes that is funnny!

If you have read any of my biographical posts here and there in the forum over the past few weeks, you know that I could have written the article under discussion in this thread just a few years ago. I'm dancing to the beat of a different drum now…the one played by Ringo Starr ahdn_ringo_09.
