here is one for instance: "

go to Truthcontest()com and read THE PRESENT page 59 (beatles section)"

i was wondering what you beatles fans think about it…

I think I don't care what people write as comments on youtube as most of it is crap. I certainly wont be going to wherever the place is that has the truth behind beatle songs.

I just read a few pages of that essay.  The writer is intelligent, but also a schizophrenic gnostic.  As such, he seems incapable of discerning the difference between his own thoughts and wishes, from reality outside himself (i.e., he suffers from an arrested development of infantile narcissism).  Most schizophrenics and gnostics have an object of their obsession which focuses all their obsessive feelings and ideas.  This guy's object of obsession happens to be the Beatles.  When you read his stuff, it has a complex logic of its own where -- inside that world -- it fits together and seems to make sense.  A gullible person could easily get sucked into thinking it might be true.

It's just religious spam and the comments are just 'bots which carpet-bomb comment sections.  Sort of like the ones you see on Facebook comment links, that say something to the effect of "My Cousin makes $1012 a week from her home blahblahblah click this link…".

Just ignore it and never comment back on it.

you guys are right, most things on youtube are trash, but this doesn't seem like the typical spam. i don't think there are any ads on the site. it's interesting why people would take the time to spread this? plus, about the bots thing, i saw a comment that said that people write all the comments, not bots.

The only reason why they would waste all that time trying to ''spread the word'' is that they truly believe it. Why else would you do it? Surely there are more constructive and/or interesting things you could be doing with your time.

It seems you guys are confusing the online phenomenon of videos/comments, with the actual online book on which all those videos and comments are based.  Apparently, some individual wrote this weird book, then after that it generated a "community" of followers.

It was the book I was commenting about. I haven't seen any of the videos or read any of the commentary.

Well that's even weirder. You must believe it to go to the trouble of writing a book. People are strange.

You don't even know the half of it. Once you read a few pages of that book, you see that guy is DEEP into that very strange myth he has developed about the Beatles being modern "prophets" of ancient divine wisdom.

^ Absolutely mad. Each to their own, though.

i think i agree with most of you that the writer might be mad or something, but i do agree that the beatles were very fucking magical, and therefore could have channeled things beyond their own minds.

Well, any and all artists are "channeling" something.  That's what the ancient symbolism of the "Muses" was all about.  The only question is how good the art is (= how much "more" they are "channeling").

Learn the truth now.

Google "the beatles erotic fanfiction" and read page 69, "Why Don't We Do It In The Road??". Find out the real truth about The Beatles' "relationship".

I read the truthcontest and my first thought was: What a lot of bullsh*t. And I haven't actually changed my mind… still a lot of bullsh*t… I didn't even finish the whole article.

Probably because I'm an a atheist. But still… like really: The Beatles were prophets, etc… Come on!

The writer of that "truthcontest" has a kind of New Agey, Gnostic type approach.  More of a pantheism than theism per se.  In this perspective, all humans, and all Nature, are "gods" or are divine; though apparently there is still some mystery, some drama, some tension going on, because of the persistence of darkness and evil, etc.  So, amid this ongoing drama & mystery, some are more "enlightened" and some may even be "emissaries" of the "higher realm" and are gifted to lead the rest of us poor slobs to the "light", and some may even be "prophets" or bodhisattvas (Google that); etc.

Rule of thumb:  If a worldview seems to require a lot of quote marks " " to describe, chances are it's a tad dicey and fishy!blue-meanie

“We laugh at sheep because sheep just follow the one in front. We humans have out-sheeped the sheep, because at least the sheep need a sheep dog to keep them in line. Humans keep each other in line. And they do it by ridiculing or condemning anyone who commits the crime, and that’s what it’s become, of being different.”

I'm really disappointed in you all, really. Now I don't believe in any of this, but just because it's something that's a little bit out there you don't need to sneer and call them "mad" or "insane".

You know, 500 years ago, Galileo was put under house arrest for saying that the sun was at the centre of the solar system! Just because he said something that wasn't commonly accepted by the social paradigm you have to be holier than thou and proclaim him as a loony.

Whatever happened to "And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make?" I don't see much love here.
