Obviously though the Beatles were great artists, they were only human. Are there any things the Beatles have done or are reported to have done which shock or disappoint you because of the bad way they acted?
What naturally springs to mind is the way John treated Cynthia around 1967-68, especially reeling off a list of all his infidelities to her face on the plane back from India- that is awful, must have been indescribably hurtful.
I was also shocked to hear that when Ringo went to speak to Paul about postponing his album release in the bitterest period of the breakup, Paul prodded his fingers in Ringo's face and started shouting "I'll finish you all! You'll all pay!" which is shocking not only because it seems like very un-McCartney behaviour but because Ringo said it "upset" him.

OfflineThere has been so much muck-racking and over reaction to everything that it generally passes me by. One would be how John left Cynthia and Julian for Yoko but that gets nearly balanced by how much he wrestled over the decision in India (not that he did it in the right way ie getting together the night before Cynthia came back from a trip so she found them together the next morning).
The way they acted to each other during Apples financial dealings would be up there as its hard to comprehend knowing how close they were. Read a couple of days ago a summary of an interview Paul gave in 1969 during all those troubles and despite all the problems between the four he still said John, George and Ringo were his best friends. Thought that was really sweet. ![]()

I always thought it was sad to see how during and after the breakup all the other Beatles (well, John and George primarily) put down Paul and complained about him in the press, but I haven't seen a single interview where Paul attacks either of them in any way.
