Why? Surely threads around a particular theme (eg album, concert, activity) are more useful than just a decade. Would we really want to discuss John and Yoko moving to New York in the same thread as Mull Of Kintyre?

I know I did something similar in the photos section, but I'm not sure how helpful it is to have general all-purpose threads like this. It would be more helpful if you had something to say rather than starting them and leaving them blank.
