I rank them like so:

5th Beatle - George Martin

6th Beatle - Brian Epstein

7th Beatle - Pete Best

8th Beatle - Mal Evans

9th Beatle - Billy Preston

10th Beatle - Geoff Emerick

Surprised to find that I'd rank Yoko no higher than 12th...

What's yours?

I just want to play. I’d like to think I could work opposite Sinatra, B.B. King, the Beatles, or a polka band... - Jazz musician Rahsaan Roland Kirk, 1967

10.Allan Williams/ Bruno Koschmider (gave them their first big break)

9. Stuart Sutcliff/Astrid Kirchherr (artistic direction)

8. Neil Aspinall (drove them around when they were first starting)

7. Brian Wilson (competition)

6. George Martin

5. Brian Epstein

That's so close between Brian and George, it's almost impossible to gauge who was more important. Without Brian, there would have been no George Martin, but without George, they certainly wouldn't have pushed the music as far as they went. It's a toss up.

Proposed Beatles Bible New Rule:

When referring to george-martin, always include some indication that you are not referring to a-hard-days-night-george-9. If you do not, several other posters will experience extreme confusion.

If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

Fixed it, MMM. I agree on the rule change.

No, I truly feel that George Harrison was extremely expendable, much more then george-martin

Zig? Are you sure we are talking about the same man?

Mine are the same as Strawberry's.

Ah yes, thank you Penny (my inner Sean Connery is dying to say Moneypenny).

After I took it, it opened my eyes. We only use one-tenth of our brain. Just think what we could all accomplish if we could only tap that hidden part. It would mean a whole new world. If the politicians would take LSD, there wouldn't be any more War or poverty or famine.
