What else can you expect from governments?? 
BTW You can give gifts to your relatives below 60K and not paying taxes for it. I learned that in The Shawnshank Redemption movie

Offline If it makes you feel any better, it's limited to $13,000 or $26,000 if you're married – $1,000,000 roughly over a lifetime. I'd certainly rather my parents give it to me than send it to the government.
