Lil Wayne has a song called help. It Samples Help! in the beginning and has the lyrics "I'm from the dirt where the Beatles and John Lennon be at"
I listened to that, since I already had Youtube up. Well, I think I can say I've heard better songs… When it was done I had to listen to the original since it got stuck in my head.

OfflineEpic Band Pink Floyd did really made a reference to Their Awesomeness The Beatles in "Let There Be More Light" from their second album (the first that count in my book) "A Saucerful of Secrets":
The outer lock rolled slowly back
The servicemen were heard to sigh
For there revealed in flowing robes
Was Lucy in the sky
And yes, I hate "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn".

"I asked Bobby Dylan, I asked the Beatles…

I can't believe I didn't think of that. It's my favorite Who song.
Well done.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, Let it roll for all its worth.

OfflineMy sister was listening to this country song by Brad Paisley called American Saturday Night and they said this
"Singing Back in the U.S.S.R."
I flipped. It was awesome! This may be off topic, but when I wake up in the morning I turn on my tv. This day, it was showing a little kid show and they went to England. They were singing a song about England, and they said:
"We love walking across Abbey Road."
I looked and the characters were walking across Abbey Road like the Beatles! It is cool they are putting refrences in little kid shows!

I haven't heard much from it but I just adore Syd and early Floyd and excuse me while I roll about because of the Beatles being referenced in an early Floyd sooong.

OfflineSomeone's already mentioned American Pie, but there's still more.
Besides "Helter skelter in a summer swelter"
There's also "While Lennon read a book on Marx". Although Lennon is often replaced by Lenin.
I don't know, but the quartet is supposedly The Beatles… "While the quartet practised in the park".

Actually, that entire song is in reference to the music scene, including Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, The Stones, Bob Dylan, etc etc. There's a lot of speculation to some of the metaphors, but the Beatles ones include the one you mentioned, and they also include "Now at half time there was sweet perfume as the Sargeants played a marching tune" which talks about the awesomeness of Sgt. Pepper's of course, and "the marching band refused to yield" which sort of meant that they wouldn't give up the fight; the Beatles were just too big for anyone to push over.
That's in addition to the ones that 909 posted.
Another one is Gimme Sympathy by Metric "Who'd you rather be, the Beatles or the Rolling Stones? Oh, seriously? You're gonna make mistakes you know. Come on, baby, play me something like Here Comes the Sun"
That was most of the chorus.

OfflineWell there was a funny refrence on Whose Line Is It Anyway just a minute ago when they played greatest hits…
The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Barbra Streisand, Bruce Springsteen! These are just some of the people who threaten to sue if we use their songs!
