Well All You Need Is Love Reminds me of my one cousin becuase she always sings it.

Then In My Life and I'm Looking Through You remind me of my English teacher because he's probably my favorite teacher ever, and those are his favorite Beatles songs.

And American Pie by Don McLean(?) reminds me of the Paul concert becuase I had that song on repeat on part of the way there!

ONE MINUTE YOU'RE DEFENDING THE WHOLE GALAXY, AND SUDDENLY, YOU FIND YOURSELF SUCKING DOWN DARJEELING WITH MARIE ANTOINETTE AND HER LITTLE SISTER.!

Two of Us reminds of a trip to New Brunswick, because I loved the lyric “You and I have memories longer then the road that streches out of here,” while Anna reminds me of an old memory of me at my old house, and Give Peace A Chance Reminds me of December 8. Oh, and House of The Rising Sun and Rush are linked in my head.

Here Comes The Sun reminds me of part of my senior year of high school mainly because my friends and me used to sing it often. You can also say that about With a Little Help From My Friends.

Handle Me With Care reminds me of my dad. We share a love for that song and the Wilburys.

Well we all shine on like the moon, the stars, and the sun.

Yellow Submarine ” reminds me of my friends who would spontaneously sing it during lunch.

The entirety of Sgt. Pepper 's reminds me of my math teacher, because he has a record player in his classroom and we play it during rainy day lunches.

“Ob la di, Ob la da” reminds me of a track meet where I had the chorus viciously stuck in my head the entire day

Because the wind is high, it blows my mind.

Dear Prudence and Happiness is Warm Gun reminds me of going cycling with my Dad; it was when I bought the White Album and these two tracks were my favourite. When we were cycling we went past Tittenhurst Park which my dad pointed out to be where John Lennon used to live.

One day I'll sneak inside and take pictures for you all.

You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.

Last one of mine. Any “text speak” posts remind me of Revolution 9 . Both a pain to decipher.

Free As A Bird reminds me of the trips I used to take when I worked as a computer analyst. I listened for the first time when The Anthology was released in Chihuahua.

And Let em in reminds of this. I went to that concert. I still have my lighter. I still get goosebumps.

The Long And Winding Road makes me think of mith because of something she shared a long time ago.

Anything from A Hard Day's Night makes me think of Joe because it's his favorite Fab album.

Sorry, M3 – I think of you when I hear Run For Your Life . It just makes me laugh.

Sun King makes me think of GniknuS because of his handle and his avatar of the USS (HMS?) Chicka Ferdy.

Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite? Von Bontee (The band begins at 10 to 6, the band begins at 10 to 6, etc…). I still love those mash-ups, Von.

Octopus's Gardenskye, because it's an incredibly fun song and I get the feeling she is an incredibly fun person to hang with.

Dear Prudence – yeah, you guessed it.

Those are just the ones that came to mind right off. There are many that remind me of my wife, but we won't go into that!

The following people thank Zig for this post:

Von Bontee, Beatlebug

She's Leaving Home. The moment I fell in love with The Beatles. My brother had just bought Sgt Peppers, I must have been about six or seven. I was sitting in my living room next to the stereo with the lyric book in my hand playing the album over and over. For some reason that song stands out. That Sgt Peppers album of course gradually became mine, and that lyric book is now in pieces as it's so worn out. a-hard-days-night-john-1

When I'm 64 and Yellow Submarine  reminds me of a teacher in my first school called Mr Cook, who used to play those songs to our class. I was the only kid who'd heard them before. a-hard-days-night-ringo-15

They're the ones that come to mind straight away. apple01

I think it's great you're going through a phase,

and I'm awfully glad it'll all be over in a couple

of days

Yellow Submarine reminds me of one of my teachers becuase I've got a Yellow Submarine shirt so he'd sing it to me a lot

Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da reminds me of my mom because she always wants to listen to it

After I took it, it opened my eyes. We only use one-tenth of our brain. Just think what we could all accomplish if we could only tap that hidden part. It would mean a whole new world. If the politicians would take LSD, there wouldn't be any more War or poverty or famine.

I simply reeled off the ones that sprang to mind in the 2 miuntes I had before logging off at work and heading home.

Steady, lad. Easy does it…

There, now your song is Mr. Bellamy. I guess that's only fitting as you were one of the main influences in my sticking with Paul's Memory Almost Full when I expressed my initial disappointment. Thanks.

Actually mr. S, you are averaging 28 posts per day (as of this post, anyway) and at least 1 PM to me each week. How could I possibly forget you?

I have no idea if there’s a thread already on the site about this, or if this is worthy of one. However, I’ve been thinking – about the power music has, the ability to lift someone up or knock them down, to remind them of a moment so good or so bad. For me, I have a couple of friends – one in particular – who one day, a couple of summers ago, I was golfing with. And they told me to listen to some music that night – Eminem’s catalogue and this other song – Dear God by Logic. Over the next weeks and months I listened to these songs. These songs… I cannot listen to these songs without being brought back to that course, with those guys… And I wonder. I wonder if it’s just me. Am I crazy, or do specific songs or specific artists bring back, evoke, these specific emotions or memories?
